Chell is indiscernible to him, almost always. She holds the gun so tightly, so closely to her hand, that she, in a sense, becomes it. He has no reason to be scared of her— not yet— but he still flinches, when it’s pointed in his direction.
She’s more than him. Still, he can do this for her, can’t he?
