Phoenix’s lips twitch.
“Limp Bizkit,” he answers. And then he adds, desperate, “Please say it. Please, Miles. For me.”
Miles cringes. But, behold, he parts his lips and delivers a beautiful, beautiful:
“Limp biscuit.”
And the laugh this provides Phoenix carries him all the way into the royal blue sky that stretches across the afternoon, where Truce calls him up and he can finally give her the news. Calm, clinical:
“I’m stuck in the land of shit and honey with Miles Edgeworth. Hold down the fort for me.”

(In Florida for a legal conference, Phoenix and Miles find their flight home cancelled courtesy of a hurricane churning through the panhandle, and thus decide to take a little road trip.)

After years of legal complications, it's finally time for the reading of Manfred von Karma's final will and testament. In need of some moral support, Edgeworth requests that Phoenix supply his 'consultation services' and accompany him to the von Karma family estate in Germany (despite having been disbarred for two years and just about zero knowledge of inheritance law).
Sure, Phoenix had been expecting to deal with the ensemble of judgey relatives (not literally, thank god), jetlag, crushing homesickness for his daughter, and even von Karma's tragic interior design choices. A whole murder case, however? That he hadn't accounted for. (Which, in retrospect, may have been a bit of an oversight because he and Edgeworth really do seem to be magnets for this kind of thing...)

He turns the CD over, front and back. It's a plain blank CD. Wright must have burned it and put it surreptitiously into his CD player as a prank. Typical juvenility. He throws it on the seat next to him and turns his attention back to the road.
Absolutely, one-hundred percent on the road. He has no interest in Wright's games.
None at all.
All right, perhaps a small amount. It's a chance to get inside Wright's head, yes? Into that hollow, echoing space, where neurons fear to tread. God knows that with Wright's recent little winning streak, not to mention his general constant there-ness, Miles would like to have some idea of what fearful chemical reactions go on in there. Wright must have selected every song on that CD. Perhaps there's evidence to be gathered here.
Perhaps this will be… instructive.
Unlikely. What it will actually be like is having Wright in the passenger seat, nattering at him irrelevantly until his eyes actually hurt from being rolled.(Phoenix hides a mix CD in Miles's car stereo for the express purpose of being very irritating. He succeeds beyond his wildest dreams.)
