Dan shook his head, his eyes gleaming.
“Right,” he said. “Except our fucking neighbours can probably hear it too, with how loud I’m projecting my misery.”
Phil can read thoughts. Dan doesn't believe him.

Summary
Phil shouldn’t – the last time he’d tried doing this, Dan had been grumpy for the entire day, but he didn’t care. He gently wrapped both his hands around the laptop balancing on Dan’s leg and took it, putting it down on the table before folding down the screen.
Dan watched it go with his lips hanging open slightly, then glanced at Phil.
“I’m doing it again?” he asked.
Post-Hard Launch, Dan and Phil sit down and find out how they feel about it.

Phil is staring at him, but Dan isn’t willing to let this go. He’s not going to back down on it. Because if Phil will come into his life in the most whimsical way imaginable with no explanations and start challenging his entire belief system, he’s going to drag him down with him.
“I didn’t– I mean….” There’s a complex mix of emotions showing on Phil’s face, none of which Dan can decipher, but he thinks he gets the gist of it.
“You have no clue, do you?” he asks him.
How are Dan and Phil doing in their parallel universe now that they're finally getting to know each other?

“Yes, that is sort of what I figured when you called my law firm."
Phil wakes up in an alternate reality where Dan and he have never met and does the only thing he can think of doing: Finding Dan.
