Her sweet. Her sugar sweet. He comes into the room, tired, annoyed. Always. They make him tired and annoyed. Bad aren’t they? No one ever does what he wants. No one ever makes it easy for him. Poor thing.
She’s going to be so, so good to him.

“Your bed is nicer than mine,” Jinx sighs, her breath warm against his skin.
“If you need a new bed—” Jinx’s giggle cuts Silco off before he can finish offering her the same luxury he enjoys. She’s never asked for it before—despite having a perfectly suitable bedroom, she sleeps in her workshop most of the time, or in the rafters of wherever she finds herself when she’s tired. It’s always seemed to be what she wanted.
“No,” Jinx drawls, all infuriating teenage superiority, so sure that he’s the one being an idiot. She looks up at him like she wants to laugh again. “Your bed is nicer because it has you in it.”
