Summary
(Harrumph. Tap-tap. Is this working? okay)
So what you'll find here is a collection of uuuh literary analyses of Robert Plant's original lyrics from the 70s to current times. The idea behind it is that Robert has been writing about his epic love story with Jimmy Page...
(*shuffling of chairs and rumble of footsteps as the audience stampedes for the nearest exit in a panic*)
... Oookay. So. The three brave souls remaining, with enough curiosity and open-mindedness (or enough "poor girl, she's tried so hard") to give me a chance. Gather round, bit closer.
What I was saying. Robert Plant has been writing about his epic love story with Jimmy Page in his songs since forever. It's really not that subtle. All it takes to see it is considering "so what if it was real" and have a quick look.
But since I've found symbols, metaphors, recurring themes, connections and callbacks all over the place, I'd like to tell you about them. I've done the work, so you don't have to.
The conclusion is (spoilers) yes, Jimbert is hella real, it's not platonic, it's colossal, it's fucking beautiful... and it's alive.
Intrigued yet? Come on board mateys, we're going sailing.

Summary
Jimmy and Robert cross paths on their separate ways, let's say in Cleveland because I'm a romantic.(*)
Jimmy is in the middle of his triumphal Page/Coverdale tour, headed for Japan.
Robert... Well. Let's just say he got the message.
(*) What do you mean "???" PAGE/PLANT NO QUARTER 1994!! Keep up people, I'll be asking questions later...)

Summary
Jimmy Page's On This Day entries continue to be a source of "WHAT THE...!" moments and lots and lots of inspiration in this neck of the woods.
“So many songs to choose from. You had your pick. And yet this is the one you’re going for.”
“It doesn’t mean anything.”
“No? Well, you know I will read into it.”
“I don’t control what you read into things.”
Robert smirks. He finds him rather cute, doesn’t he.
“But you know I will read into it, and you still choose it. What does that mean?”
_
Indeed.

Summary
Robert often talks to Jimmy in his mind. Things they would never dare say to each other.
"Leave me here alone
for just as long as it takes.
Seasons turn
Waiting for the weather to break.
Loving up a storm now
Many times I fell from grace.
Seasons turn
Once again our world will change.Coming from the cold
Reaching for your sweet embrace
The seasons turn
Hid beyond your world I wait
Is your heart still warm?
A little flame, a special place.
Seasons turn
Once again our world will change. All we built has fallen down
Old and new has hit the ground
I know
Blaming tears to lonesome sounds
Hopes and fears have burnt the ground
I knowReaching out to find you.
I put it all behind you
I'm back again, I know.
Across the miles I find you.
I'll put it all behind you.
I'm back again, I'm back again, I'm back."(A way with words, Robert Plant.)

Summary
"I'd originally thought of getting Terry Reid in as lead singer and second guitarist but he had just signed with Mickie Most as a solo artist in a quirk of fate. He suggested I get in touch with Robert Plant, who was then in a band called Hobbstweedle. When I auditioned him and heard him sing, I immediately thought there must be something wrong with him personality-wise or that he had to be impossible to work with, because I just could not understand why, after he told me he'd been singing for a few years already, he hadn't become a big name yet. So I had him down to my place for a little while, just to sort of check him out, and we got along great. No problems."
And the rest, as they say, is history.
So, dazed, yes. Confused? Not for long. (Or for the rest of their lives.)

Summary
"And now the carnival is over
Someone turn out the light.
Our fields of plenty filled with clover
So long ago and out of sight. This little light that keeps on shining
All through the darkness, through the night,
That ever more will keep reminding
Our journey is long, our flame is bright. And if there's one more time I can dance with you
Let me dance with you tonight
It's the last chance our hearts will dance
Into the lovers' night.Out in the land of never ending
The rich parade, the roar of life.
We shared a world forever changing
Through dancing days and wondrous nights.I offered up the secret places
Revealed the magic of the land
All bound by blood and lipstick traces
Till time conspired to steal our crown."(Robert Plant, "Dance with you tonight", Carry Fire, 2017.)
This is the song that started all of this. The Copernican Turn. The Wait A Fucking Second moment.
I found a thread, I started pulling, and everything else just fell into place.
