    Summary

On October 31st, 2017, Gojo Satoru wakes up and immediately realizes the day has repeated. He recognizes this for two reasons. One: his six eyes tell him the cursed energy outlays are identical to the day prior, something that has never happened before and will never happen again, unless time itself is overlapping. And two: Utahime is still in Tokyo, despite her plans to depart the evening prior, and she would never, ever, extend her stay without emergency.

or: Gojo Satoru gets trapped in his own personal Groundhog Day. Like most things in his life do, every day leads back to Geto Suguru.

    Summary

The Death Painting finally stirs, its cursed energy rippling and its brows furrowing.

“We have company,” Satoru says mildly. “I did say you missed one.”

Yuuji peers hazily up at him. His expression holds neither confusion nor comprehension, only soul-deep exhaustion. Despite that, he turns his head toward the Death Painting.

    “That’s my brother,” Yuuji mumbles.

Satoru blinks very slowly, a gesture that’s wasted on the boy still staring at the Death Painting with those tired, tired eyes. “Yuuji, that’s a curse.”

“Half,” Yuuji says. “Or…a third? A third. Two-thirds human.”

    “You’re an only child.”

Yuuji makes a noncommittal noise. “Thought so too. Didn’t believe him at first. But I dream, sometimes.”

Satoru takes Yuuji’s face between both of his hands and turns it toward him. Yuuji comes easily, blinking up at Satoru with those big, brown eyes.

“Yuuji,” Satoru says slowly and clearly, “you’re not making any sense.”

A time loop locks Yuuji into the day of the Shibuya Incident. Satoru bears witness to the aftermath.

Sukuna mistakes a half-awake Yuji for a Kami, but he's technically correct given that said Kami made Yuji their vessel.
But poor Yuji doesn't know that. He thinks he's lying. It's a good thing he isn't, because our boy is a pretty bad liar.

    Summary

“First time? No matter, there’ll be more,” Sukuna croons, and jabs the needle lightning fast through Yuuji’s tongue, right below where Sukuna’s pinching it with his thumb.

Yuuji squeaks, as his body rushes hot and cold with the shock of the needle passing through his skin, the hollow body sliding through to guide the piercing into place. The nitrile gloves drag against Yuuji’s throbbing tongue while Sukuna holds the piercing to screw the ball on to secure it.

Yuuji’s mouth tastes like Sukuna’s gloves and blood when Sukuna pulls his fingers back out, letting go of Yuuji’s tongue.

“You can open your eyes,” Sukuna smiles meanly at Yuuji when he does.
