  Summary

  once again I’m titling the work after another Indigo de Souza song because I feel like it fits really well? One of my fav lyrics from that song as well is “A little whiskey and some reckless boys” which I almost named it but it just didn’t quite feel right.

  Andrew’s wary to move on after such a disasterous senior year of high school, but somehow, he has some hope left. Somewhere deep down, anyway, where he can barely see it in the dark, but it is there.

  Andrew’s not-like-other-girls complex is burning strong this year, but he’ll figure out eventually that he is in fact, like the other girls, and that’s not a bad thing. It’s just a thing. Maybe even a good thing. Maybe he’ll meet some people, maybe he’ll have some flings. Maybe he’ll let go of his self doubt for a moment and try to reconcile past relationships. Who knows?

  Summary

  The title is one of my favourite songs by Indigo De Souza, but I might change it later if I think of something more fitting. This is going to be the first fic I’ve posted in like almost 10 years, and the first one I’ve posted on AO3, like, ever. I feel like I’m not going to be able to describe it that accurately, but I’ll do my best.

  Andrew’s therapist says he should make more friends. Matt’s truck is a piece of shit, and should really not be on the roads. Matt doesn’t actively suck, so Andrew puts as much awkward effort in as he can possibly manage, and they become friends.
  Then Matt leaves for college, and Neil and his uncle move in across the street. Andrew decides that his successful friendship with Matt will be the thing that encourages him to try new things and make another friend. Maybe he can even ask for more.
