Riza watches him as he works, arms still folded, amusement flickering behind her irritation. Her hands twitch, almost like she wants to pick up a piece herself.
“It’s not a game to me, sir.”
“Doesn’t matter,” He smirks, reaching over to tip the black king onto its side with one gloved finger. “Because whether or not you want to admit it, we’ve been playing this game for a while now- and I’ve already won.”
