“So I can visit you.” Now Louis frowns.

“I’m saying that I’ll tell Cassandra to make it a stop on the tour. If you’ll allow me to visit.”
“Allow you to visit?” And a part of Lestat dies inside. Was his suggesting that or assuming that or hoping for that so ridiculous? That they would see each other again? Was this just a one time thing? Was this just what closure looked like to him?“My apologies,” he says with a strained smile. “I thought that we might want to keep in touch, going forward. But that was me assuming things, of course-“
