”Yeah man…its gone.”
Shadow sat up, blinking vision slowly back into his eyes. He absent-mindedly reaches out to the blue shape of Sonic along his side and begins to pull the other's body closer to his own. The strangled yelp that tears itself past peach lips stops Shadows motion in his tracks though. He’s looking at Sonic for real now, straining his eyes as he forces his vision to focus on what’s in front of him. The sight that finally greats him feels like ice around his heart.
A large, gaping, bite mark is left on Sonic's right shoulder

After a full moon patrol goes haywire, Sonic and Shadow are left to deal with the fallout. Forced into the night by their fear, the two embark on a cross county expedition to seek out a possible cure that had been lost to the world when the ARK went down. Tails has spent his life traveling after being abandoned as a small child. One day he happens across a small isolated village in the middle of no where called "Green Forest". After having the fright of his life, coming face to face with a mysterious beast in the woods, he finds himself being taken in a cared for by Sonic the Hedgehog. After some rocky patches and revealed secrets the two learn to coexist and Tails finds himself viewing Sonic as his brother.

Sorry for the bad summary, the scene sneak peak I was going to use was too long for the summary box. Anyways, AU where Sonic accidentally scares Tails in his werehog form and decides to adopt the poor guy! However once they finally bond things around them very quickly turn south.
(I'm probably going to redo this summary once the fic gets going)
