Bakugou wants to be a hero, but at the age 9, he decides to change course. He still wants to be a hero, but he wants to be an underground hero, where he doesn't have to be in the lime light and can focus on defeating villains and saving people. He knows it is going to be difficult with a classy quirk, but he won't let anything stop him, especially Deku going on and on about how good a day hero Bakugou will be.
He learns multiple fighting styles, creates some equipment, and practices a bunch of skills to help with undercover work. Along with all this, Bakugou practice his quirk because it is still powerful and will be useful in defeating villains and protecting himself and others.
After taking the entrance exam, Bakugou goes to Nezu about joining the underground hero cours, a course that looks like a normal general studies course, but also teaches hero work specializing in underground work. Nezu gives Bakugou a specie test for the program, and Bakugou passes. Bakugou is now in Class 1-L, which very few people know as Class 1-U.
