Chapter Text
The challenge of the day was Two Truths One Lie.
It wasn’t Truth or Dare like yesterday, nothing could beat that, Suri thought. Her first kiss with Bobby was during that challenge.
After this morning, witnessing how well Bobby and Priya seemed to get along in the kitchen, she couldn’t help but thinking of other options – for Bobby. She wouldn’t want to get with everyone else. But what if there were other people who was made for Bobby, and it was not her?
She wanted to talk about it to somebody, but she didn’t know to whom. Hope was strapped by the hips with Noah, Lottie spent most of her time with Hannah, and Marisol spent most of her time with Rocco today.
Talking to Priya wouldn’t help, she thought, Priya was in a position where she had to take anybody’s partner. If Suri told her about her doubts, she could be the one with no partner, Priya could snatch Bobby just like that, knowing they were not that solid.
So, she went to the Beach Hut.
“How was last night with Bobby?” one of the producers asked Suri.
Suri put both of her feet on the couch and crossed them Indian style.
“It was great.” She answered, and couldn’t stop smiling, thinking about her make out session with Bobby last night. And then she thought about the laugh Bobby and Priya shared this morning, and she frowned.
“What’s wrong?” the producer asked.
“Bobby seemed to have fun with Priya this morning.” Suri said.
“What if I was in the way? What if Priya is more of his type? She seemed goofy and fun, like him.” Suri looked at her nails.
“I don’t want to be in the way of anyone’s happiness.” She could feel her eyes filled up. She didn’t know she was that upset. She kept looking down on her nails, avoiding the camera. Her tears started falling, looking down while your eyes were filled with tears wasn’t a good idea. She quickly wiped them away with her fingers.
“What about your happiness?” the producer asked.
Suri chuckled. She didn’t even think about that.
“Right.” She said, then smiled. “Gary wanted to get to know me.” She added. “But, I don’t know… I’m really attracted to Bobby. And no one else have ever made me feel this way.”
“Gary said I should get to know other people, not just stick to one person. That’s how you’d know if they’re your match or not.” She stopped and then added, “Remember my audition tape? You know I want love that I just know. I don’t want to figure it out. Because there might be a chance, I might never figure it out. I don’t want to work it, I want to just, feel it.” Suri could feel her face was hot again, she was getting so frustrated now.
“Do you feel that with Bobby?” the producer asked.
“Yes.” Suri answered. “But what if it was only me? I mean, I could feel the electric when we kissed. The way he kisses me, that’s one way of knowing, too, right? When we kissed, I think he’s right there, with me - feeling wise..” Then she shrugged. “ I don’t know, after this morning with him and Priya. I, forgot.” then she laughed, “Maybe we should kiss, again.”
“He’s right outside.” The producer said, her one hand was on her earpiece. “Do you want him to get in here?”
Suri’s heart started beating hard. “He is?” she started to fix her hair and she sat up straight. “Um, okay, he could if he wanted to.”
The producer was saying something in her mic, then, there was a knock at the door.
Bobby’s head peered in the doorway. His gorgeous face, those freckles, those strong jaws and those smiling lips. He made his way inside, Suri smiled and said hey. then he made his way to the couch and sat next to her. He put his arms around her waist. Then kissed her on the cheek.
“You okay?” he asked. He was looking at her eyes so intently.
“Yeah I’m fine,” Suri smiled, and quickly looked away. Hoping that there was no residue of tears or redness in her eyes.
They both looked at the producer behind the camera.
“What do you think about Suri, Bobby?” the producer asked. Suri widen her eyes at her, wow they went straight to it, huh? Then she played it cool and turned to Bobby.
“I am happy with our current situation, could not be happier with my couple.” Bobby said and looked at her. “I mean, have you look at her? I am having a fierce competition as we speak.” He added.
Suri chuckled, and then asked, “What do you mean?”
“At least 80% of guys here fancy you. I mean, I don’t blame them, you’re the fittest girl here.” He said and tucked away her hair behind her ear.
“What do you think about Priya?” the producer asked. Bobby turned to her and blinked.
“She’s fun. A bit goofy.” Bobby answered. “But I don’t think we could be more than friends.” Bobby said and looked at Suri.
“What about Suri? Won’t you guys ask her what she thinks about me?” Bobby grinned at the producer.
“We already covered that part.” Suri quickly answered.
“That was before I was here!” Bobby said. Suri laughed and shook her head, still refusing to answer.
“Okay, what about this then? What do you think about Gary?” Bobby asked Suri.
Suri studied his face. Is he, jealous? She knew he saw them this morning, he was right at the pool side.
“I mean, I saw he talked to you this morning.” Bobby quickly added, and then he looked away.
“He wanted to apologize because he made me choked on my cereal.” Suri said, still studying Bobby’s face. “And that he wanted to get to know me better.”
Bobby nodded, more than once.
“Proved my point.” He said and threw his hands up. Still not looking at her.
“But I told him I want to see where things can go between us.” Suri added, gesturing to her and Bobby.
Bobby turned to her, he finally smiled. Then the smile disappeared.
“I – I try not to be jealous. If you want to get to know other guys. I mean, it is Love Island. And it’s still early days. I can’t stop you getting to know your perfect match.” He explained.
He looked almost sad, Suri thought. But every word he said, all too familiar with her.
“Bobby, I - ,” Suri stopped and grabbed him by the neck, and kissed him on the mouth. He was startled but immediately returned her kiss. When they pulled away, she kissed him again on both of his cheeks and on his forehead. He let her and closed his eyes; he smiled all the way.
“I don’t want anybody else.” She blurted out. Then she bit her lips.
‘Me, too.” Bobby replied.
Suri could feel her heart expands as those words came out of his mouth.
“I told Priya the same thing.” Bobby added.
Suri frowned. Did Priya told him that she wants to couple up?
“I don’t want to couple up with her.” Bobby said.
“Did she say something?” Suri asked worriedly.
“Yeah, she said she’s interested in me. Apparently, me not “following her around” her and “grilling” her only made her more interested.”
“But she knew how solid we were. We told in front of everyone this morning.” Suri said.
“Yeah, well, that didn’t stop Gary either.” Bobby replied, and added, “We’ll find a way for us to stay together. I really care about you, and I don’t want to lose you.” Bobby said, he took her hand and squeezed it reassuringly.
Suri loved that his feelings are starting to get serious with her. It was all that she wanted to hear, she wasn’t the only one who felt all these new, strange feelings, then.
“I’m not going anywhere,” she squeezed his hand back and smiled at him.
Just then, their phones dinged and they read their text messages.
