As the detective turns on the recorder, Izuku wonders how absolutely exhausting it must be to have to go through every student and staff in UA and ask them if they're the traitor. After Bakugou's kidnapping, Nedzu gave the school a full lockdown. No one's been allowed in or out until the Detective gives the A-okay, which is kind of ironic because if the Detective was the traitor then that would just cause chaos.
"My legal name is Midoriya Izuku," he says calmly and with careful words.
"True. What is your quirk status?"
Here he hesitates. And obviously for a second too long if the twitch in the Detective's right eyebrow means anything.
"...well u-um legally I'm quirkless so…"

OR: During a school-wide interrogation to find out who the traitor is, 1-D General Education Izuku is found to actually have a quirk and vital information to help the investigation.

This was fucking beautiful. Izuku’s quirk was so insane, and I’m still not sure I understand what was happening, but I loved everyone’s alternate backstories, and the teacher’s reactions to Izuku’s bullshit were just amazing.
