Then with undoing his shoes before he takes them off, setting them neatly on the rack. Then with sliding his feet into his slippers. “We didn’t get engaged,” he mutters, his voice so quiet even he can barely hear it. “We got married.”
“You what?” Jingyi yanks Sizhui’s hand back and drags him up, Sizhui so startled he accidentally meets Jingyi’s eyes. “You’re married?” He clutches Sizhui’s hand like he’s worries Sizhui’s going to run away. Again. Then tows him into the living room, shoving him down on the couch before he drops down beside him. “Talk,” he says. “Now.” -
