“Then, become a shinigami.” And as the hollow returns to the scene with a roar, Ichigo feels a blade slide between his ribs. Except, it doesn’t hurt. It’s chilly, like the first real touch of winter, the first snowfall of the year. Then, a blinding flash of light.
