Chapter Text
Countless people believe they're more worlds than drops in the ocean. That one's imagination for stories comes from being unknowingly psychically linked to one of these worlds.
Simultaneously? How many of us who write love dive into the world we've created? How many of us would love to see our work come alive? Whether it be our fanfics being made real? If they could be actual episodes to watch online?
Or how many of us wish again? To disappear when life's problems become too much? How many of us long to leave our world behind? How wonderful it'd be again to experience our stories first-hand.
Yet its only just a dream. No way our wishes could come true. Or is there a way? It seems in one of those countless other realms. So a famous fairy decided to help writers out.
Disappoint her second son didn't care for the portal potion she'd created. But, it was a potion that would take the reader into the stories they loved the most. So this famous fairy toiled night and day to create an abundance of this potion.
She'd to tweak the spell a bit, given in our world? Most writings were either fanfics online or now audiobooks. In the end, she'd finished perfecting her potion. One young fanfic writer woke up from her dreams. Her dreams strangely combined Sailor Moon and Rugrats. But she didn't want to write about it as she flicked on her lamp, a spray bottle with a note attached to her bewilderment. In unfamiliar handwriting was a message.
"Hello, dear writer, I have a gift for you. What if I told you there was a way to travel into your favorite stories? This bottle contains my portal potion. It will take you into your favorite stories. Or the ones you've written yourself. I've modified the brew some, seeing how the world's changed. However, the rules remain the same.
1. Time only exists as long as the story continues. Be sure to leave the story before its ends, or you may disappear as the story concludes.
2. Each world is made of only what the author describes. Do not expect the characters to have any knowledge of your world.
3. Beware of the story's villains. Unlike people in your world? Most literary villains are created to be heartless and stripped of all morals. Therefore don't expect any mercy should you cross paths with one.
4. The book you choose to enter will be your entrance and exit. Be sure nothing happens to it; it is your only way out.
5. You shall receive a charm bracelet to act your way in and out for those entering a tale online. Please pay attention to the charms as they'll warn you when you need to leave.
6. Upon entering the story, you'll be gifted with the knowledge and clothes to fit into the world you've entered. Yet be careful not to reveal your true self to the characters.
In conclusion, I hope you enjoy my gift. However, please use it wisely, as I can only gift you one potion bottle. I'm not sure you'd find the ingredients to make more. However, here's the list if you're forced to make more.
Ingredients
A branch from the oldest tree in the woods
A feather from the finest pheasant in the sky
A liquefied lock and key that belonged to a true love
Two weeks of moonlight
A spark of magic to activate all the ingredients
I sincerely hope you enjoy your gift. Now I bid you adieu. Love. F.G. M!
The young woman held the precious gift in her hand. Then, smiling, she quickly logged onto her A03 account. One because there weren't ads in the middle of it. Two, the bigger font size. And finally, three, she hoped that these stories connected in a series would make the stories last longer.
She quickly chose her Avatar TLA series, "Shards Universe," and sprayed a gentle mist on the computer screen. The screen glowed brightly as she entered the world of her imagination.
