“I’m here to investigate several murders that have taken place in the past year.”
John narrowed his eyes in confusion and looked to Sherlock again, stepping aside with an arm outstretched so they could sit in a pew together.
“I have noticed a decline in my regular parishioners. I do hope none of them have come to any harm.”Sherlock chuckled, and the low pitch of it resonated against the cold brick, letting it echo back into John’s ears. It was nice. It felt like velvet, and John had an inkling that he was one of a few that had actually heard it.
“Quite the contrary, Father, I believe you are to be the next victim.” -

So sweet and slow. If I had one wish for this story it would be ‘and they lived happily ever after’. In my imagination they always do.
