Chapter Text

It was a lovely summer's day in July when Bridget walked down the aisle with Antonio.

Alex was Antonio's best man and Lena, Kara and Fiadh were Bridget's bridesmaids.

This was a different kind of wedding however. The wedding was at the Luthor's castle.

In the gardens a wedding arch made of yellow and white roses had been made and before it were chairs for guests to be seated for the ceremony.

Afterwards a reception was held in the castle, although most people decided to spend it in the castle grounds because it was such a lovely warm day.

Antonio and Alex were standing on the patio drinking Danvers speciality Ale from bottles. The beer had become very successful, more so than their whiskey brand. Eliza had made sure to get Jack to supply them with plenty for the wedding reception. The Luthor's gladly supplied the wine and the whiskey.

“I can't believe I just got married,” Antonio laughed, “who would have thought it.”

“You better treat her right,” Alex warned him, he had become very fond of Bridget and considered her a close friend.

“Don't worry Alex, I learnt my lesson there, I will never cheat on her again,” Antonio replied. And he meant it, he was very much in love.

“So where are you going on your honeymoon?” Alex asked.

“A cottage in Wicklow beside the river, Lionel let us have it for a week,” Antonio told him.

“Oh yeah I know the one, Lena and I stayed there once for a break, it's really nice. Some good fishing to be had too,” Alex paused and smirked, “if you have time for it.”

Antonio laughed, “I’m guessing I might get a little time to fish, but it's not my number one priority,” he saw Bridget coming out the door to join them on the patio, “hello my love.”

“What are you boys talking about out here?” Bridget asked curiously.

“Oh nothing, this and that,” Antonio told her and walked up to her, “you look beautiful, I can't wait to get out of here and have you all to myself.”

“I can't wait either, can we leave?” Bridget frowned. She was longing to get her man into bed.

“Young love,” Alex smiled and sipped his beer.

They both looked at him, “Hey you aren't that much older than us,” Bridget replied.

“I’m just happy for you both, just one word of advice,” Alex said, “maybe wait a bit before you have kids, they are a handful.”

“A cute handful though,” came the voice from the doorway, it was Lena with her son in her arms.

“Sweetheart,” Alex stepped up to them and kissed Lena, then kissed his son's head, “Liam sure is, but we are waiting a few years before adding to our family.”

Bridget walked over to Lena, “How's my godson?” she said ruffling his dark red hair.

“Blahbla,” Liam said.

“Still not speaking English then,” Bridget chuckled.

“One of these days you might surprise us with dadda or momma uh?” Bridget took his hand and smiled at him.

Lena put him down and Liam immediately walked to Alex, “Dadda!” he said as he wobbled his way towards him.

Everyone looked at Liam amazed.

“Did you hear that?” Alex’s eyes were wide.

“We did,” Lena and Bridget both spoke at the same time.

“Come here son, come to dadda,” Alex got down to reach him as he wobbled towards him on his tiny feet.

“Dadda…” Liam said it again and everyone laughed.

“This is the best day ever,” Alex said, lifting up his son into his arms. He kissed his cheek, “you are such a clever boy.”

Lena watched the interaction between son and father and her heart melted, she couldn't have wished for a better husband.

“Well,” Antonio said, “I agree, this is the best day ever, but I have other reasons,” he took Bridget's hand, “If you will excuse us, it's time to take our leave, we have a train to Wicklow to catch.”

“Of course,” Lena smiled and kissed Bridget goodbye.

“Have fun you two,” Alex told them as he bounced his son in his arms.

The party went well into the night at the Luthor castle and most of the family were staying overnight in the guestrooms. Alex and Lena had their old room. Kelly Olsen, the nanny, was in a room with Liam. Kara and Fiadh took one of the guest rooms together.

But before they all headed to their rooms Alex and Lena had a surprise gift for Kara and Fiadh. Alex had saved enough money to buy a small farm just outside the city, it was a house with stables and a barn, a big chicken pen where the chickens freely roamed and finally two horses. Antonio had helped secure those with his contacts in the horse world.

Lena handed Liam to Kelly Olsen, “You can take him now for his bath and then bed, thank you Kelly.”

Kelly took Liam in her arms, “Its me and you now little one, say goodnight to dadda and momma.”

Liam smiled and looked at Alex, “Dadda…”

Lena kissed her son, “Hopefully one day you will add Momma to that.”

“I’m sure it won't be long before he is saying it and then you won't be able to shut him up,” Alex said, taking Lena’s hand. Lena hoped he was right.

Once Kelly had disappeared upstairs with Liam, Alex and Lena found Kara and Fiadh in the living room where they were drinking tea and cuddling on the couch.

“Hi guys,” Kara smiled and sat up.

“Hey, we have something to tell you both,” Alex told them.

Fiadh’s eyes went wide, “Miss Lena are you with child again?”

Lena laughed, “No thankfully nothing like that.”

Kara and Fiadh sat and waited and listened to Alex.

“Well ladies, we have a little gift for you both, we know you both like horses,” Alex said.

Kara and Fiadh looked at each other and nodded.

“We got you a horse each,” Lena smiled.

“Oh my…” Fiadh couldn't believe it, her very own horse.

“That is not all,” Alex continued, “we got you a farm, with a house and stables, and well you can both move in as soon as you like.”

Kara shot up from the couch, “You did what?”

Fiadh started to laugh with sheer happiness, all her dreams were coming true, she was going to live with Kara on a farm with horses, “I can't believe it!” She stood up.

Kara stepped over to Alex and Lena and hugged them both, “Thank you so much!”

Lena motioned for Fiadh to join their little group hug, she did so and all four of them hugged.

Kara and Fiadh cuddled in bed that night and neither of them could sleep because they were both so excited about their new farmhouse.

“I can't wait to live with you Kara,” Fiadh smiled as she cuddled into the warmth of the blonde.

Kara stroked Fiadh’s hair, “It's a dream come true.”

“For me too, it's what I always wanted, to live with you, my soul mate,” Fiadh looked up at Kara who was holding in her arms.

“I’ve never felt so connected to someone before,” Kara smiled deep in thought, “we are going to be so good together.”

Fiadh rested her head on Kara’s strong chest and held onto her tight, the butterflies were having a party in her tummy, “I love you Kara.”

“I know,” Kara smiled holding her, “I love you too. Always.”

Meanwhile Alex and Lena were making the most of their alone time. Kelly had instructions not to disturb them unless it was urgent.

Alex got into bed and under the covers beside Lena, they were both naked, “Remember how I fixed this bed?”

Lena chuckled, “Of course, and I remember why it collapsed.”

Alex pushed Lena down on the pillows and got on top of her, Lena laughed and Alex said, “I remember too, it went something like this.”

Alex kissed his wife softly and stroked her hair with one hand while the other went between her legs, “Shall we recreate that night?”

“Yes please,” Lena breathed to his lips as she felt his fingers enter her, “but maybe without the bed collapsing.”

Alex kissed her passionately then and started to thrust his fingers in and out of her warmth, then he replaced his fingers with something much bigger. He couldn't wait any longer, he had been aroused for the past hour.

“Hmmm Alex,” Lena closed her eyes and spread her legs wide for him, “yes…”

Alex thrust in and out of Lena’s warm wet folds, making love to her with fiery passion. The bed banged against the wall just like before, but luckily his handiwork at fixing the bed that time was holding strong.

“Lena, hmmm you feel so good baby, squeeze me,” He told his wife as he fucked her deeper.

Lena’s walls squeezed around his hard six inches, she was trying hard not to make too much noise but it was futile, “Alex…oh my…hmmm.” He was hitting her right where it felt like absolute bliss with every deep hard thrust.

“I love you,” he told her as she moaned, sighed and gasped beneath him.

She finally came in a rush of adrenalin, butterflies took flight, she was floating as her walls contracted around her husband's thick cock. He pounded her over and over until he came too. That sweet wonderful feeling of warmth and tingling in his toes overwhelmed him and the sense of relief as he filled her was always his favourite part.

Lena felt his warmth enter her, “Alex…” she cried out and held onto him tight.

“Hmm Lena,” he moaned, he felt so good.

Alex lay there for a moment before flopping down beside her completely relaxed. Lena rested her head on his chest, one arm around him. She was blissfully happy and satisfied like always.

“We’ve come so far,” Lena said thoughtfully, stroking his chest, “to think where we were when we first made love in this room.”

Alex stroked his wife's hair, “We have. I transitioned, we got married, we had a son, and that doesn't even include the fact your father gave me the job of a lifetime.”

Lena smiled, she felt the soft hairs of her husband's chest under her fingers, “What was your favourite part?”

Alex smiled, “Meeting you of course.”

“What? More than your transition?” Lena looked up at him surprised.

“If I had to choose I would choose you every time baby,” Alex told her, “It was because I met you that I had the chance to transition.”

Tears pricked at her eyes, “I love you so much Alex.”

“I love you too baby,” He replied.

The next morning they were all sitting around the dining table having breakfast when Lionel had an announcement to make. He stood at the head of the table, “Alex and Lena, I have something for you.” He pushed a piece of paper towards Alex who was to his right.

Alex took it curiously and read it, his eyes went wide and he passed it to his wife.

“Father?” she said.

Lionel smiled and nodded, “The Luthor Distillery belongs to you now.”

Alex was amazed, he didn't expect to inherit the business until Lionel died, “I don't know what to say sir, thank you.”

“Just keep growing the business, make our name something that will live on for centuries,” he told Alex, “I totally trust you can.”

“Thank you for this,” Alex smiled, “I won't let you down sir.”

Lionel sat down and Lillian stood, “I have something to say too.”

They all looked at Lillian then.

“I just wanted to say thank you to you Alex and to you Lena, for giving me a grandchild and if it's the only one we ever have I am so grateful.”

“Mother,” Lena had to wipe her eyes, it was the first time her mother had not insisted on at least five grandchildren, “Thank you for saying that.”

“It's not easy raising children and it's even harder to give birth,” Lillian said, “I want you and Alex to live a full and happy life.”

Alex looked at Lillian, “Thank you Lillian, we had planned at least one more child, maybe a few years from now.”

“Well I do hope you are being careful,” Lillian told him.

Lena chuckled to herself and Alex shyly replied, “I am, you can be sure of that.”

If only they knew Lena had birth control thanks to an alien species. It would blow their minds.

Then Lionel asked, “Where did Fiadh and Kara go? I expected to see them at breakfast.”

Alex smiled, “They left early to go and see their new home.”

Lena added, “They couldn't hold back their excitement any longer.”

Kara and Fiadh stood there with the keys to their first home together. A beautiful old farmhouse surrounded by hillsides and forests. Around the back was the stables and the barn. They would check that out afterwards but first they wanted to see what their house looked like inside.

They had expected an empty house with no furnishings, they were surprised to find a fully furnished and plumbed house.

Kara stared at the large kitchen, there was a big range to cook on, “This is wonderful.”

Fiadh smiled and looked at the wooden bowl of fruit on the kitchen table, “We have some fruit.” Fiadh picked up an apple and took a bite.

Kara saw a note beside it, “Hmm what's this?” she picked it up and read it out, “We know how much you girls like to eat so we also made sure to plant some fruit trees in the field. You will find apples, oranges, pears and cherries, enjoy, Alex.”

Fiadh walked through to the living room and saw a big fireplace with a stack of wood beside it and a bucket full of coal, “They thought of everything.”

Kara came up behind her and wrapped her arms around Fiadh, “They did and look out of that window over there.”

Fiadh curiously walked over to the living room window and when she looked outside she saw a field of purple, “Lavender!” she turned to Kara, “This is all so beautiful!”

Kara smiled, “Come on, let's explore outside.”

That evening Kara and Fiadh spent their first night in their new home, they took a blanket and watched the fireflies over the lake in their fields.

“This is just about perfect,” Kara smiled as they lay on the blanket watching the fireflies and occasionally gazing up at the stars.

Fiadh reached for Kara’s hand, “The fae told me I would meet my one true love one day. Now the fae are dancing for us, look Kara.”

Kara smiled and watched the fireflies, “Yes they are Fee-ah, yes they are.”
