Poseidon gave a sight though with a tinge of relief, "Okay..okay." He gave a small weak smile, "I'm sure seeing you would certainly help her feel better anyway~"
He chuckled wearily as Hercules gave a silent nod and made to leave but paused as Poseidon spoke up again, "And..Hercules." The hero stood still as Poseidon seemingly struggled trying to find the right words before sighting feeling more tired than he had in eons, "I"m sorry."
"Yeah..so am I." The Hero turned God stated simply before he left to locate where his mother was resting.
While Poseidon watched him with a look of concern that started to darken in anger as he turned around, "Zeus!" He snapped out with barely restrained rage in his tone, "I think it's time we had a long overdue brother to brother chat about your attitude!"
As Hercules walked down the summit his mind was in turmoil.
what was he suppose to do?
he wanted to charge to the underworld and rescue Meg and Hebe...but with all he learnt he wasnt sure if....no he was sure he wanted to do it...but couldnt help but worry that in doing so he would make things worst.
but it was his daughter and wife...he couldnt leave them like that!!!
but werent his actions the reason they were in that situation in the first place?
But he didnt knew about cosmic rules and the likes...it was his father...his father the one that should have told him....
"arrrgggg" Hercules held his head in pain...all of this was nothing but a nightmare for him "and what is more..." he looked at his golden hands "i dont know how long this will remain"
"you know" a voice sounded closer "becoming a god should be considered an honor"
from behind a broken column Athena walked to Hercules
"Hehe..maybe." Hercules said with a bitter chuckle after giving a blink at her arrival before frowning, "But...it's not one I asked for."
He said examining his hand seemingly deep in thought, "It's funny years ago after I learned about my heritage this.." He gestured toward his glowing body, "And being here on Olympus with my family was all I ever wanted...but now."
He shook his head with a frown, "Like I told my parents 13 years ago I'd rather die a mortal than live a immortal life without Meg or Hebe."
the goddess of wisdom nodded.
"so...outside visiting your mother...do you have any plans?" she asked "because i feel you are not planning to simply wait until those two..." she pointed at the summit where some lighting and waves of water began pouring out "reach an agreement"
"Ugh..I don't know." Hercules said with gritted teeth, "Every part of me is screaming to head to the Underworld as quickly as possible to save my family!"
He clenched his fists before sighing, "But.." He shook his head in disgust, "With everything i've learned doing so might just make the situation worse!"
The war goddess hummed.
"it is true that things are bed" she frowned "however we both can agree that Hades cant be allowed to continue wrecking havoc in the world" she added with steel "first the titans...now this...Hades is causing the world to fall into chaos by his actions"
"Yeah..I know." Hercules said with a dark frown and steely gaze entering his eyes, "But what can we do?!"
He asked frustrated, "His new friend and those abominations nearly killed me..and Hades." He spat out the name with growing hate, "Is worst than ever just look at what he's done."
Athena nodded back with a frown, "True..Hades is a powerful God." A small smirk grew on her face, "But so are we Hercules~"
"he took us by surprise" she added "but that can also work against him" she added "just you and me Hercules...we can sneak into the underworld...rescue your family and capture Hades forcing him to dispel that evil army of his"
"I..don't know." Hercules said with a frown cupping his chin, "If it was the same Hades I knew i'd go in a heartbeat..but."
He looked into her eyes, "Everyone's said he's more dangerous and isn't holding back..and." He let out a slight growl as memories of that undead sorcerer pop into his head, "And he's got a new ally a dangerous one."
"He might act a bit tougher but he is still the same Hades" the goddess said "he wont expect us to attack him in his home...in fact i bet now he is cooky thinking he has us against the wall" the goddess scowled "and he certainly wont expect you back in that form" she added
Hercules gave a blink at that before looking down at his hand realizing that Athena was right him being a god again was probably the last thing Hades expected.
Plus considering the damage he managed to do he could easily see Hades being smug and more cocky than usual so a attack straight at the heart of the underworld might be the best way to catch him off guard.
And as his mind raced weighing the risks he thought of Meg and Hebe and how every minute wasted is a minute of those monsters doing who knows what.
He clenched his fist closed at the thought as he growled out, "Alright.." He gave a nod giving her a determined look, "Let's do this." A dark gleam entered his eyes, "It's high time Hades faced justice."
"agree time for him to pay for his crimes" Athena added. she wont let Hades go away with such humiliating and cowardly way he beat her. "go talk to your mom..i have to call someone that will make our journey easier" she added before walking away
Hercules gave a nod at her back before he turned focusing on seeing his mother hoping she was okay.
He eventually saw Demeter who gave a startled jump when she saw him walking over before smiling, "Oh Hercules it's so good to see you're up and about."
She said as he walked up to her, "How are you feeling dear?" The goddess asked with a expression of concern, "I'm okay..but what about my mother?" He answers and asked with concern
"she is resting right now" Demeter admitted "she was hit hard and will need a while before she is gets better" she growled "that curse to Tartarus Hades...your father should have locked him with Cronos when he had the chance"
"Yeah...maybe he should have." Hercules muttered to himself before shaking his head looking at Demeter, "Is it okay for me to see her?"
"go ahead dear" said the goddess of agriculture "just dont think much if she doesnt talk back ok"
with that she allowed Hercules to access the room.
there in a bed covered in pink silk was his mom eyes closed, resting...lost to the world
"Mom.." Hercules whispered out with yet another part of his heart breaking seeing her in this state which only fueled his rage toward Hades all the more as he took a seat a beside her bed, "Oh..mom..i'm so sorry."
He said in a low broken tone, "I should have been here to stop this."
"how can i be greece´s greatest hero when i cant protect my family?" he said "now you are hurt, Meg and Heve captured by Hades and dad....ohhh im so angry at him i want to go back and punch him again" he said in anger putting a hand over her mother´s
He gently squeezed her hand, "Mom...I don't know what to do." He said in a depressed despairing tone, "I don't think things have ever gotten this bad before."
"hehehehe well then you should be thankful Im here to do the thinking" a voice called making him turn "and then you can do what you do best...punch things"
Hecate laughed as she entered the room.
"hello hero...love the new look" the goddess of witchcraft said with a smile
"Hecate.." Hercules growled out with gritted teeth as he stood up facing her with a dark glower, "What do you want?" He glared at the witch and old enemy from his academy days, "I'm in no mood to deal with you."
He growled clenching his fists, "Not when i've got bigger problems to deal with."
"whoa...we havent seen in ages and this is the greeting i get?" she scoffed "i thought your mom would have raised you better" she chuckled "not Hera of coarse i mean your mortal mom"
Hercules growled out, "You have no right to talk about either of my mothers!" He snapped stopping forward, "And so help me if that was a threat." He said in a dangerous tone fists clenched at his side.
"hey easy there hero" said the witch raising her hands "im actually here to help"
Hercules scoffed
"help yeah right"
"im serious" said Hecate "or how you think you and Athena will sneak into the underworld?"
Hercules threw her a look of shock, "Wait Athena recruited you of all people into this plan?!" He asked with incredibility before throwing her a dark suspicious look, "Whats to stop you from stabbing us in the back and selling us out to Hades?"
"tch why i would do that?" asked the witch "I want Hades out the underworld...if he is back then that means im no longer in charge of the place and thats a big nono to me"
"Wait..what?!" Hercules asked in shock, "You mean you've been running the Underworld?!" He demanded in shock as before now ever since Hades defeat he hadn't given the Underworld a second thought much less questioned who was running it with Hades out of the picture.
"duhhhhh who else?" scoffed the witch "no one but me wanted the job so i got my own kingdom quite easily" she boasted in pride.
"although that didnt stopped Cerberus from wreaking havoc on Sparta a few years ago" Athena said entering fully armored and armed "but i was a good way to stop my brother´s war plans that year"
"tch stupid dog...he wont obey me no matter what...had to chain him to the entrance" Hecate scowled
"I can't believe this.." Hercules muttered rubbing his face before staring at Athena, "you all honestly put her of all people in charge of the Underworld?!" He demanded, "Shes almost as bad as Hades!"
He exclaimed throwing his hands in the air.
Hecate tched.
"you said it wonder boy... ALMOST as bad..." she said "I dont care about taking other kingdoms..nor I care about what Zeus do..nor about you" she said in drawling tone "I wanted my kingdom and Hey! look at that I finally have it...im the queen of the underworld!! so if anything having Hades back affects me more than you!"
"More than you!" Hercules repeated back shocked and infuriated as he roared, "HE HAS MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER!" He said angrily only for Hecate to scoff, "you mean your mortal toy and her spawn hardly important.."
Hercules growled and looked ready to punch the witch into other space.
"ok that enough!" Athena called approaching the duo "fighting among us wont help in dealing with hades"
Hercules gave a growl before sighing in defeat knowing Athena was right while Hecate simply scoffed, "Honestly still having trouble believing he's this much of a problem now.." She said a tad acidly, "Zeus brat handled him plenty of times and that was without all of Olympus wanting his head for the Titan incident."
"oh yeah?" called Hercules "have you seen the state Olympus, the gods, MY MOTHER are in?!!!" questioned the son of Zeus with anger "who you think did all this?!!!"
Hecate however gave a bored yawn, "So he got lucky shocker." The witch said with a shrug, "Honestly with how lazy most of the gods around here have gotten even after the Titan incident if it wasn't Hades who was going to take them by surprise it would have been someone else."
She remarked with a wave of her hand
"tch...funny...I remember certain witch having to steal his fire and she knew she couldnt face the same god directly" jabbed Hercules
This caused Hecate to freeze and flush in embarrassment, "only because I didn't want to risk facing all of Olympus directly!" She snapped with annoyance defensively, "I want to rule the Underworld and for that I needed the other gods to accept my claim over the position!"
She said crossing her arms, 'I had no desire to try to control all of Olympus like Hades did."
"which...again...is the only reason why we are putting you back in the throne" said Athena "would be better if we had another of those crystals but I think these" she pulled out some bronze chains and cuff...the type that redeem a god powerless "will be enough"
Hercules gave a blink looking closely at the chains, "Say aren't those the same kinda chains Hades used on you and Poseidon when he took over Athens?" Hercules asked leaning in as he rubbed his chin
"the very same...took this from Hephaestus forge" answered the goddess of wisdom "is our best shot to be able to capture Hades without much risks"
"I'm in.." Hercules said clenching his fists, "Just tell me what you need me to do." The new God said with a determined expression forming on his face, "whatever it takes to stop Hades and his new friend."
"friend?" asked Hecate
"not important" said Athena "right now the plan is simple"
(Time skip)
"with Hades back we cant use the main entrance to the underworld so we need to sneak in other way" said the goddess.
Pegasus flew over the destroyed Thebas with Hercules and Athena on his back with Hecate flying close by.
"easy" said the witch "there is an entrance in the old cave of the hydra" she said "Hades didnt seal it after the monster was defeated so it should be open for us to use"
the trio (plus flying horse) landed close the old cave.
"then what?" asked Hercules.
"Hecate will guide us to the palace...once there you will distract Hades while I sneak from behind and put the chains on him" continueded the Goddess "between your strength and mine we will be able to subdue him"
"then you can takeout to zeus, receive a good boy speech while I take back the throne" added Hecate.
"indeed" said Athena
the group entered the cave where was a passage that went deep down into the earth.
"Here I was hoping I'd never have to see this place again." Hercules said as they started their journey into the earth into the Underworld while Hecate gave a sniff of disdain, "Honestly don't know what everybody complains about."
The witch said with a roll of her eyes, " I actually find the Underworld quite charming." she said as she guided Athena and Hercules
"with your past attitude can see why" deadpanned the hero finding a bit odd how he was still glowing..yet it seems no light was being produced
Hecate huffed at this before she continued to lead them but soon frowned as she lead them further arriving at the rivers styx as she looked around with a dark look, "Something...wrong."
She said with a grimace as Athena and Hercules looked over at her, "The underworld it doesn't feel the same...it feels off.." She said shaking her head, "But why Hades return couldn't cause this.."
She muttered muttering to herself, "What are you talking about?" Athena demanded wanting answers and believing any knowledge or information could be crucial, "I can't explain.."
Hecate said looking around at the underworld, "But there's just something...different.."
Hercules huffed mounting Pegasus again.
"different or not we need to reach Hades" he said thinking about his family "we came this far to get cold feet now"
"I'm not scared.." Hecate said scathingly with a scowl, "I'm just being cautious.." She said looking warily around, "The underworld ironically feels more...alive for lack of better description." She said rubbing at her chin, "But at the same time it's like it's gained a darker edge to it...it's all so strange."
"Indeed" said Athena heading her shield and sword righter "lets try to be careful" she added mounting Pegasus "but we also need to keep moving before Hades or anything else find out we are here
(Hades Palace)
"hehehehe ohhhh and why wont we know you are here?" asked the Horned king looking at a magical window spying at the trio "we were expecting you after all"
"Yeah though honestly expected them to show up sooner." Hades said standing right beside him look at the mystical window, "And hmmm.." He rubbed his chin, "expected lot more than just these three.."
He said arching a brow, "It's no surprise Hecate throwing her lot in with Olympus to keep control of the Underworld.." He said looking over at Hercules, Hecate, and Athena, "But what's surprising it's only the three of them here.."
He said with a frown, "you think the other gods are attacking somewhere else or getting ready to make a move as part of some plan?"
He asked Horned King looking over at him
"ummm to be honest I didnt expect Athena...but I suppose some extra wont make any difference" the Lich said as he gazed on the war goddess with some lust
Something Hades noticed arching a brow at him, "Got a thing for warrior book worms Dark?" He asked with a smirk chuckling, "Personally when it comes to the goddesses I wouldn't mind giving some love to the goddess of love~"
He said with a slight dark laugh
"hehehe is more the fact she is a virgin goddess...so I can help but wonder what will happen if she gets her divine cherry popped" answered the other villain
Hades gave a snort before pausing as a thoughtful expression grew on his face, "Hmm could be something that could be used in some magical ritual or something perhaps.."
"hehehehe it seems something we should test" said the Lich with a smile "although...how about we first take care of our guests? after all we only have less than a day before the witches come for their payment...so we better prepare him" he finished with a dark smile
Hehe very true~" Hades said smirking wide, "So allow me to roll out the welcome mat." He said stepping forward, "Bought time to see how much control I have over the underworld anyway.."
He said before sending a blast of fire through the screen
(Back with the intruders)
Hecate suddenly went ram still before screaming out, "GET DOWN!" As she fell to the ground with Hercules and Athena following her move as they narrowingly dodged a fire ball blast that came out of nowhere, "Arg..looks like Hades knows we're here." Athena grunted out entering a battle stance
"Yeah but he needs to work on his aim." Scanning everywhere for any sign of Hades only for Hecate to snap as she floated out, "No he doesn't because we weren't the target fool!" She screamed out pointing toward the ground where skeleton hands began to thrust out of the ground as numerous skeleton soldiers wielding weapons emerged surrounding them
(Back with Hades and Horned King)
Hades shot Horned King a smirk, "This should keep them busy just long enough for us to sick whatever else we want to on them." He said before adding with a chuckle, "Or dealing with them ourselves~"
"hehehehe lets have some fun before we go get them ourselves" said the Lich "after all is better if we first tired the two non-underworld dieties to deal with them easier"
"Hehe agreed~" Hades smirked before yelling out, "Pain, Panic!" he roared out causing the imps to run into the room double time, "YES SIR!" They said saluting as Hades smirked down at them, "Get ready to set Cerberus loose."
He ordered them ideally while focusing on the ensuing battle the mystical screen was showing, "we've got some new chew toys for them~"
He said giving a dark laugh
(Back in the battle)
FLASH
Hecate let out a blue fireball hitting a group of skeletons exploding them to pieces.
close by Hercules punched to dust any bone-head that get to close to him while Athena showed why she was the goddess of war as she used sword and shield to beat any soldier that face her.
however with each skeleton they destroy another group appeared immediately
"Grr this is a waste of time!" Hecate cried out destroying more warriors, 'no matter how many we destroy the underworld has a endless supply of dead for Hades to send against us in waves!"
She warned the other two with Athena frowning, "He's trying to tire us out." She said examining their enemies, "He doesn't expect these things to beat us just weaken us till he sends in something deadlier."
Hercules punched another.
"tch Phil threw me harder exercises!" said the hero "if he. think I will be tired from this he is more idiot that I thought!"
"Don't get cocky fool!" Hecate snapped destroying more of the soldiers, "we're in the underworld his territory.." She admitted with a reluctant growl, "and it looks like unlike your previous misadventures he's making full use of his role of Lord of the Underworld in full."
"tch lets see if he rules this!!" cried the hero taking air..and then charging breaking through the skeletons opening a way for the others.
"Hurry!" Athena yelled out to Hecate as she moved to follow Hercules using the path he had created while Hecate gave a low annoyed growl, "don't order me around." but moved to follow the command
Pegasus whined as he prepared to take fly as they reached the banks of the river.
"Athena jump!" cried Hercules jumping into his steed.
Athena narrowed her eyes and than lunged forward managing to reach out with her arm with Hercules catching it just as pegasus took off into the air while Hecate screamed out indignantly at them, "Don't forget about me!"
She said flying up to meet them in the air
Hercules looked back.
"uff ok good thing those things cant fly" he said
However at those words a a furious cry filled the air
"SCREEEEEEEEE!" Causing them to whirl to the source in shock as Hecate let out a growl, "you just had to open your big mouth!"
As they saw the undead forms of the giant harpies that Hercules vanquished years ago coming down at them like a vicious bird of pray
"Ok..i should have seen this coming" said Hercules "quick Pegasus!!!" he called to his steed to fly faster
And Pegasus wasted no time in zooming off just as Hercules reached out and grabbed Hecate by the scruff of her dress causing her to let out a slight yell as they took off pursued by the furious harpy screeching after them
"SSSSSCCCCCRRRREEEE!!
"aggg easy you beast!!!" cried the sorcerer goddess as she was being literal dragged in the air.
"i will suggest you stop complying and start shooting!" called Athena
"Grrr uppity little.." Hecate grumbled out but at Athena warning glare she did just that as her hands lit up with magic and started flinging her power straight at the pursuing harpy intending to put it back in the ground...permanently
The harpies screeched in anger as they flew around Hecate attacks.
some were hit (sending them to the river bellow) but a good number was still on their tail
"Urg how many of theses things are there!" Hecate yelled out with obvious annoyance before glaring over at the brute, "And can't this mule go any faster?!" She demanded causing Pegasus to let out a snort of angry at the insult
"we are not that far now!" called Athena "the soul river is guiding us towards the Necropolis!" called the goddess "we need to find a place to lose these creatures"
at this Hercules looked around before shouting out, "There!" He said pointing toward what appeared a cavern filled with stalagmites, "ready to show these birds how to really fly Pegasus!'
The flying horse smiled in excitement before charging towards the cave followed by the harpies
"Hang on!" Hercules called out to Athena and Hecate with the latter yelling out indignantly, "to what?!" As Pegasus began to race through the cavern of stalagmite dodging and weaving while the furious harpies pursued
"SSSSSSCCCCCRRREEEE!!"
the birds tried to follow but they were bigger that the horse causing a lot to start hitting the rock
"Heheh it's working!" Hercules cried with a smile, "I knew some dead birds couldn't keep up with you Pegasus." he said patting his friend on the neck
Pegasus laughed as he accelerate singing the exit of the cavern.
ROOOOOOOAAAAARRRRRR!!!
And finding himself face to faces with Cerberus
"DIVE PEGASUS!" Hercules screamed out as his steed barely dodged the snapping jaws but Cerberus heads got close enough to cause the Pegasus to steer out of control and end up crashing into a cavern wall
The three dieties were sent to the floor.
"Pegasus!!" Hercules cried rushing to his steed noticing one of its wings damaged.
ROOOAAARRRR!!!
"forget that mule we have bigger problems!!" cried Hecate as Cerberus roared in their direction.
"Can't you calm it down!" Athena said raising her spear and shield with Hecate giving her a incredulous look, "I meant have been running things down here since the Titan incident but that beast never answered to me!"
She exclaimed sending blasts at the snapping heads while they stepped carefully back, "And it's not likely to answer to me now that it's master is back."
"well then he will have to answer to me!!" cried Hercules rushing pass the goddess and jumping on Cerberus middle head
"GRRRRRRR!" And needless to say Cerberus didn't react to this with the middle head shaking itself as hard and fast trying to dislodge the godly hero while the other two heads snapped down at Hecate and Athena
"Take Pegasus away and hide!!" yelled Hercules pulling at the head´s ears forcing Cerberus to pull away from the goddesses
"Get those heads off our backs and we will!" Hecate cried out trying to blast at the mutts eyes only for her own dodging making aiming difficult to say the least
Hercules pulled with more strength forcing the three headed dog to back up with the other two heads trying to snap at the hero on their middle head
"Woah .AH!" The yelled out at some of the snapping teeth coming close as he punched and kicked the heads back while doing his best to keep his grip on the middle head
Down on the ground Hecate and Athena tried to push Pegasus to move faster.
"come on you mule move!!!" cried the goddess of magic pushing the wounded horse towards what looked like a buried structure
This comment caused Pegasus to snort out some air glaring at the witch while it struggled toward the structure with Athena bitingly asking Hecate, "it would kill you to show concern for a comrade wouldn't it?"
She asked as she steadily guided Hercules stead to safety
"oh yeah..because losing time with this horse wont risk us getting caught by the giant mutt or by anything Hades sent after us" snarked the other goddess
Athena rolled her eyes ignoring the witch though internal knew she might have a point she wasn't about to leave Pegasus behind they needed all the aid they could get injured or not, "Just stop complaining and help me!" She ordered with a snap
While back with Hercules he continued his struggle with Cerberus, "Urg..you're a lot tougher than I remember." He said punching another of the snapping heads back while the middle continued trying to shake him off, "you'd think me being a god now would make this easier." He said with a annoyed mutter
(In Hades Palace)
"huff..Hercules hasn't realize that being an Olympian in the underworld is more a disadvantage that an advantage" said the Horned King looking at the battle "im surprised Athena hasn't noticed what's happening either"
"Eh to be fair probably still off her game from my surprise attack earlier." Hades said while munching on a bowl of popcorn the imps had somehow manage to procure for him, "But yeah it's ironic that being a demi god likely gave him a better chance down here isn't it?"
He asked with a amused grin before offering some of the pop corn to his friend
The Lich villain took a handful before munching them.
"indeed" green fire began appearing on his body "on that note...I think I will also join the fun" he added breaking a small vial with some of the cauldron miasma before sending it through the window into the battle
(With Athena and Hecate)
the duo of goddesses managed to push Pegasus into the building.
"umm weird" said Athena looking around "his place reminds me of something"
"tch dont start having nostalgic flashbacks" said Hecate with frustration.
"its not that" said the goddess of wisdom looking around "this place...its an exact copy of the Delpho´s temple"
"the temple of Delphos?" asked Hecate "you mean the place where Apolo have his big temple?"
"exactly" Athena said "what would a copy of that would be in the underworld?"
as she asked this green torches were ignited int he walls and a green miasma began covering the floor.
The earth shook and cracked...
BOOM
HISSSSSSS!!!
and a gigantic zombie-looking-snake burst from the ground.
"Python!!!" cried the goddess of war seeing Apollo's old foe emerging in a corrupted form
The undead serpent it's body giving off a evil green glow gave a hiss before lunging forward as Hecate stepped behind Athena who raised her shield and thrust her spear forward to meet the monster in battle, "Urg if Apollo slayed you while you were alive.."
Athena said meeting it's lunge with her sword while Hecate took the chance to float back hopefully out of it's range while Athena distracted it, "than I can put your corpse back in the dirt with the rest of the worms!"
She yelled lunging forward with her spear
the weapon didnt have trouble getting through the rotten flesh of the snake...however it was like the creature didnt feel anything as it kept it charge only this time taking the goddess with it as it smashed on the temple's walls
"GAH!" Athena yelled out as her back hit the wall gasping out with a yell, "HECATE!" She yelled as the serpent rammed her harder into the wall while the witch growled watching, "must i do everything."
She muttered raising her hands which glowed with magical power before she started blasting at the creature
HISSSSS!!!
this time the creature do seems to feel something.
"magic?" wondered Hecate "that thing is made with magic?" she smiled "hahahaha then what a foolish notion facing against the goddess of sorcery!!!" she called sending another blast at the creature
As she did so the creature backed away hissing at the witch giving Athena room to recover and strategize, "keep pushing it back!" The goddess of wisdom yelled out
Hecate smiled as she kept blasting moving forwards while the snake hissed in pain and anger going backwards.
What the sorcerer didnt noticed however, was that from the cracks on the ground more skeletal hands began appearing
"Heheh Hades is more of a fool than I thought to send a beast of magic against me!" Hecate exclaimed with a dark arrogant laugh and just as she was powering up another blast she felt something grab at her leg pulling her down in surprise causing her to send off the blast in the wrong direction at the wrong target
With Athena barely managing to turn her head in time to see the blast of magical energy heading toward her before it hit her sending her flying back against the cavern wall
"What?!"

And then followed by the entire wall to fall over the blue goddess.
Pegasus cried in shock and worry...only for skeleton warriors with a green glow to emerge around him trapping him in place
And as this was happening Hecate herself was finding herself getting dogpiled by numerous other skeletons forcing her to the gorund, "ARg get off me you FOOLS!"
Wish granted as soon the coils of the giant snaked warped around the witch (crushing the skeletons) and began tighten
"Urg you.. arg ...cursed ... serpent... release me!"
"well..well...look what we have here Panic" said Pain puffing close to Hecate.
"uhh it seems we have a traitor and an usurper in our hands Pain" said Panic appearing too
"You two ungrateful worms!" Hecate snapped glaring at them, "I could have fed you to Canis and Lupus rather than letting you work for me and this is how you repay my mercy?!"
"sorry sister" said Pain without a care "we might not be the brightest torches in the house...but even we know that between facing you or facing Hades...well..."
"you are not even half scary as he is" finished Panic.
"specially with the new guy around" Pain shivered
Hecate gave a growl as the serpent tighten it's coils around here, "When...I get..out of this.." she said gasping out glaring at the imps murderously, "I'll...fucking show you...how...SCARY I CAN BE!" She roared out but the Imps merely scoffed rolling their eyes, "Sure you will."
Pain said with a smirk and Panic chuckled, "Hehe that's two goddesses and a pony down and only one wonderboy to go~" He said grinning wide as the skeleton solders secured Pegasus and Athena
"Ahhh I simply love when a plan goes right" said Pain "maybe we will end the day without being scorched"
"At the rate things are going maybe the boss will give us a bonus~" Panic said giving a laugh
"Plan? Wait? You were expecting us?!" cried the sorcerer.
"well duuuuhhhh" Panic called "you think Hades kidnapped old jerkules family just because?"
"hehehe ohh but you dont have to believe us" said Pain "the boss will be happy to tell you all once we take you and Athena to him"
At those words Hecate eyes widen as the undead serpent hissed above her, "Hehe gentleman.." She said with a slight gasp, 'There's no need for that.." She said with a nervous smile, "I'm sure Hades has much more important matters to attend to than meeting with me."
she said with a nervous strained giggle because her earlier cockiness to Zeus brat and Athena aside she wasn't possessing any desire to deal with Hades face to face unless she had the upper hand or back up...and certainly not in the opposite way with Hades having both right now
A flash of blue fire and a flash of green fire called her attention.
"oh dont worry" Horned King called as he and Hades appeared "I think he has a free moment before we deal with Jerkules"
"Hehe Hecate doll been too long you look great~" Hades chimed in with a wide smirking grin, "Where's your pooches you usually took them everywhere with you?"
He ideally asked with narrowed eyes as truth be told he was surprised to see Hecate here without her minions wondering if they'd have to track them down to with later just to be on the safe side or not
"gulp...well...they were suppose to keep an eye out for Cerberus and make sure he was still chained " said the witch with trembling voice "so...I suppose..."
"they became dog food" deadpanned the Lich
"Kinda ironic huh?" Hades asked ideally rubbing his chin, "but hey you are what you eat~" He joked with a grin before it grew more sinister as he looked down at Hecate, "and you my dear are probably about to become snake food~"

"gulp..c-come on Hades...i..im sure we can talk about this..." said the Witch noticing the sinister look on the god´s face "you...you must understand...when Zeus gives and order...one cant simply say no" blame the big cloud that always work "you know I would never try to replace you...I wasn't given a choice"
"Right.." Hades said sarcastically, "And i'm sure the time you tried to drain my essence with that crystal, or the time you tried to create a monster using Greeces greatest heroes to use against me were just misunderstandings than?"
He asked in a slight biting tone
"gulp...hehehehe..I was..just playing?" said Hecate with sweat falling
"Oh playing~" Hades said with a mocking chuckle, "Well how about we play a special game~" He said giving a dark grin, "It's called beat the witch, and throw her into the styx~"
The serpent hisses tighten its hold even more.
"Ahhhhhhh!!!!" the witch cried in pain
"oh but don't worry i'm not playing the game right away." Hades said with a chuckle enjoying hecate pain, "first I want you to take part in a little experiment I had in mind~" He said with a large arrogant smirk looking into Hecate eyes, "i'm curious to see if we can transfer a goddess divinity and immortality to a mortal~"
"w-what?!! agggg" Hecate called in fear and then pain again
"Yes you see I got my eye on someone and think she has potential." Hades said tapping his fingers together, "but she's mortal while i'm lord of the dead i can't help but wonder if there's another way around the little mortality issues once she sees things my way~"
"hehehe well we have here two goddesses" said The Horned King pointing also to the unconscious Athena "I think we have plenty to experiment"
"Agreed should be quite fun~" Hades said laughing, "But first.." He gave a evil grin, "we deal with wonderboy~"
"lets do it" agreed the skeleton before turning to the snake and the imps "you take the prisoners to a cell and keep them chained"
"You got it!" Panic said with a salute with Pain giving a agreeing nod, "consider them chained and secured!" With both imps quickly getting to work as Hades gave a dark grin, "let's see how wonder boy is doing shall we~"
The God said giving a dark chuckle

As it turns out wonderboy as Hades called him was not doing well at all as for some reason he was starting to feel more and more drained as the fight with Cerberus dragged on..a sight that was not going well for him
"AAAARG!" He yelled out hitting the cavern wall before falling to the floor with a groan as Cerberus stepped forward with a menacing growl
"come on...uggg..." Hercules managed to stand but his legs wobble a bit "why is this so hard?!" he couldnt help but ask...he knew he has the strength, he should be winning against Cerberus (he DID beat him before) so why now that he was a god he felt even weaker that a normal mortal?
"Ah..urgh...ah..could...it." Hercules groaned staring up at Cerberus, "be something...that...sorcerer did?"
He asked aloud trying to figure out what was causing him to feel so weak after all the earlier fighting once Hades and friend had attacked surely hadn't taken that much out of him...right?
He thought barely doing a dodging barrel roll out of the way of Cerberus left head snapping down at his position as the dog pounced
Hercules took a chance to attack the flank of the giant dog
However Cerberus twisted around just in time meeting his attack with it's three sets of jaws snapping at him fiercely
"AHHHHH!!!"
Hercules tried to change direction but his leg managed to be caught by the jaw of the left head
GROWL!!!!
and soon the hero found himself being throw into the air like a rag doll
"WOAH!" He yelled out as Cerberus right head snapped his cape by the jaws before flinging him all around like a chew toy as the other two heads snapped at his right arm and left leg and began to pull much to his pain, "ARRRRG!"
"Woah, woah take it easy Cerberus!" But all the sudden a voice called out belonging to that of Hades who puffed at Cerberus paws in a vapor of sulfur with Horned King beside him smirking up, "we still need Jerkules in one piece after all~"
"Hades urggggg!!!" Hercules cried in pain
"Hey hows my favorite Nephew~" Hades called out with a mocking smile, "Feels like we haven't seen each other since.." he paused humming in sarcastic thought, "Oh yeah.." He snapped his fingers before roaring out with red flames, "SINCE YOU KNOCKED ME INTO THE FUCKING RIVER STYX!"
Cerberus let go of his prey.
FLOWSH!!!
only for Hades to blast him with a fireball
"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW DISGUSTING AND UNPLEASANT THAT WAS!" He roared following up with another blast of fire as Hercules hit the cavern wall, "ARG!"
True Hades formerly nightmaster000 didn't know either but that didn't mean he didn't have a good idea so on behalf of the original Hades it was up for him to make Hercules feel the heat and punishment, "I'M GOING TO MAKE YOU WISH THE IMPS HAD FINISHED YOU OFF AS A BABY BRAT!"
"Ugg..." Hercules stood up, his godly aura blinking and out for a moment before returning
"Come on Hercules no clever quip or clinch line like you'll never get away with this Hades~" The god asked darkly his hands lit up as he walked menacingly over to the hero
"hahahaha I highly doubt he is in the position to make such threats" Horned King called "so Hercules how it feels to be a god again? as high and mighty as those stuck up Olympians make it look?"
"Urgh..I.." Hercules glared up at the two, "What...what...did you do?" He demanded trying to push himself up with a grunt as Hades gave a snort, "We didn't do anything you're the ones who were dumb enough to walk into my domain~"
He said with a dark grin, "you practical gift wrapped yourself for us~"
"hahahaha why you think neither Zeus or those cloud kissers like coming down here?" asked the Lich "the underworld is a place of death...meaning even the gods can be affected here!!!"
Hercules yes went wide at that with Hades laughing, "That's right Hercules my house, my advantage~" He said smirking down, "The only ones who escape this little drawback are me or anyone I potential give a bit of mojo too~"
He said mixing some truth and theory while leaving out other gods of death might be similar unaffected
Hercules groanded
"I...I have beat you...before...I will do it again" called the hero staining with shaking legs
"ah correction you beat the old Hades~" The god said with a smirk raising a finger, "The new Hades is playing a whole different king of game~" He said giving a dark chuckle, "one where the hero always loses~"
He said before sending another blast of fire straight at wonder boy with the intent to knock him out
Hercules doged and charged against the duo
"Sorry Jerkules but your hero time is over!!" cried the Horned king summoning his magic and then punching the ground.
around Hercules the land began trembling and breaking forcing him to stop as the land around him caved in leaving him in a lonely platform.
"but dont worry...you wont be remembering much of it" finished the skelletical villain noticing just under the rock column the hero was; was a big pool of water.
the Lethel pool to be exact
"Yes you'll be spending the rest of your days as a pet to three lovely ladies~" Hades said with a cruel grin looking over at the hero, "But don't worry i'll take good care of Meg for you~" He said with a slight lecherous grin
The hero looked up in anger.
"HADES!!!" he roared before running and jumping off the platform hopping to reach the other side
"HERCULES!" Hades yelled back with slight mocking as he let loose two more fire blasts straight from his hands straight at the hero
BOOM!!
the fireballs hit him straight sending him flaying backwards...and then falling all the way to the pool
SPLASH!!!
"Take a long soak and forget all about your troubles nephew ~" Hades said while blowing off some smoke from his fingers western style
"hahahahahaha...and now..now the real fun..begins" laughed the Horned King knowing their plans were about to come to fruition.
