No I will never forgive Toei for making Flint a silver ONLY in the stage show. There's a crossover coming and she better henshin in that!!

Also what is Flint's actress doing in that Kiramager special??? Yuri? For real??

Work Text:

Flint looked out from the ship, vaguely wondering what she should do considering all of her brothers were out doing something else. She could work on her latest technology, of course, but she had been working on it for three days straight and needed a break.

A flash of pink caught her eye, and she quickly zoomed in on it. Just as she thought, it was Magine, waving goodbye to the kids she did haunted houses with.

“Yo ho hoi!” Flint called, coming down.

“Flint!” Magine waved at her with both hands. “What are you doing here?”

“Was in the area and saw you, I need a break from all the working on the suit I’m making for myself.”

“You’re going to become like Zox?”

“Yeah! But silver, isn’t that cool?”

“Very cool, Flint! You’ll be able to join us properly, then!”

“Can’t let Aniki have all the cool stuff!” Flint said cheerfully. “Anyways, what are you up to?”

“I was just on my way to Colorful,” Magine explained. “We went to check out a haunted building, but it was just a cat that was stuck in the rafters. Poor thing must have been stuck there for a few days, it’s so skinny!”

“You didn’t bring it with you?”

“Well, it was following us, but…”

A rubbing around her ankles made Flint look down.

“This one?”

“Ah, there it is!” Magine scooped up the cat, who was indeed very skinny, and all white. Flint could see why people thought it was a ghost.

“Bringing it to Colorful?”

“Well, Gaon always has a little pet food on hand, you know how he is, I figured I could at least feed it.”

Flint nodded. “Well, in that case, let me give you a lift.”

Magine looked up at the ship. “Are you sure? You know how clumsy I am!”

“You’ll be fine, there’s not much to break.”

“Nu-nu-nu-nu…”

“Come on, you got the cat, right?”

Magine nodded, so Flint called down a line, putting her arm around Magine’s waist and getting up, a little thrill going through her as Magine held on tight, a string of “nu-nu-nu’s” in her ears.

“My, that’s different than flying,” Magine said once they were on board.

“I forget you do that,” Flint said absentmindedly. “You’re gonna have to take me someday.”

“Oh, of course, just tell me, and I can,” Magine blurted out, her faceplate looking redder than usual. “Take you, that is.”

“Really? Sweet!”

Magine nodded, the cat jumping down from her shoulders and sniffing the chairs.

“You going to name the cat?” Flint asked as she set in the coordinates for Colorful.

“I’m not sure…”

“You could always name it ‘Ghost’,” Flint said with a grin. “Or ‘Sundae’.”

Magine appeared to be considering it as the cat climbed all over her, leaving white hairs everywhere.

“I’m going to have to vacuum,” Flint said, stopping Magine by putting her hand out as she steered. “Don’t apologize, I told you to come.”

Magine nodded as Colorful came into view, since they had only been about an eight minute walk away.

“Let me feed the cat, and then we can go flying?” Magine asked.

“Oh, hell yeah, but I’ll come down, I’m hungry.”

The two of them zipped down, saying hello to Kaito’s parents—who fussed over the cat, saying they’d take care of it—before going inside and sharing one of Yatsude’s famous sundaes.

“Ready to fly, Flint?” Magine asked when the glass was empty.

“Heck yeah I am!”

Magine left to grab her broom, so Flint went outside, where the afternoon sun was warm but not overbearing. There was a slight breeze, as well.

“Um, sit behind me, I guess, nu-nu-nu-nu, and hold on tight, just in case,” Magine said.

Flint did as told, and Magine got them airborne.

“Oh, this rocks,” Flint said delightedly as they got above the trees.

“Doesn’t it?” Magine agreed. She seemed more confident now they were up in the air. “Did you want to go anywhere in particular?”

“Mmmm…not really. Let’s just see what there is to see,” Flint said, resting her chin on  Magine’s shoulder.

“Okay,” Magine said, pointing the broom in a random direction. “Let’s go this way then?”

“Sounds good,” Flint said agreeably.

The two of them flew on in the afternoon sun, enjoying the warmth and each other’s company.
