As I've grown older, my belief that Aslan is good and kind has almost entirely disappeared. This story not only perfectly reflects the problems that 'The Horse and His Boy' would cause but also shows the horror of the canon memory loss that the Four Kings and Queens repeatedly suffered. It's a brilliantly written story.
