Everything is so out of her control, and she hadn’t expected to care quite so much for the two children still in the living area. She had always been kind to her tributes, striving to give them the very best in the days leading up to their ultimate end. But things had changed with Katniss and Peeta; after years, not only had one tribute survived the arena, but both.
She thought she’d have more time with them- perhaps a foolish notion, in the world they lived in, but one she’d clung to. It is so unspeakably cruel, to send them back into that arena, and tears burn the corners of her eyes.
