Summary
After it all, after the adventure with his fellow hero's of Courage and after saying goodbye to his brothers, the Hero of Legend has some unfinished busyness in the Dark World. He needs to go back and finally face the Palace of the Four Sword. Traveling with his sister, the Fabled Princess Zelda, the duo team up to take on the Palace, to free the Corrupted Hero of Four and let him rest once and for all.

I enjoyed this story about Legend going back to the Palace of the Four Sword to help his brother/friend.

“No no, it’s the dark world, I made sure to find extra Moonpearls for each one of him. So we weaken him and you steal his Echoes, and when he is stunned, I throw a Moonpearl on him.” Link gives a hopeful smile.
Zelda just gave him a look and laughed. “Alright. What about a backup plan?”
Link thought for a minute. “Well, my backup plan is… Seal him back up and try again in a few months.”
Zelda nodded to her Brother in understanding.
The two looked down at the portal, and gave the other one last look of absolute understanding of their mission a head.
Both holding their own Moonpearl, they stepped into the Dark World.

“How many Fairies do you have?” Zelda asked quietly, preparing herself for the final shadow.“None, I stopped carrying them years ago. But I did bring a prototype for something I’ve been working on…”
“Not the doll…”
“You know it!” Link gave a laugh to his sister as Dark Vio finished appearing. Looking as decayed as the other three, his colors were a darker shade of Violet.

Instead Dark Vio pulled his hood up, shrinking to a smaller size.“Did he just shrink!?” Zelda called out, summoning a Table and jumping on top.
“Didn’t know he could do that without a medium.” Link jumped on the table with his sister.
The two were quiet for a moment, before Link got impatient and muttered to Zelda “Balloon.”
She quickly created one, and floated over the ground.

Fun Fact! You cannot bottle fairies in either Oracle game as well as Link’s awakening! (Idk about remake, remake hurts my brain to play (Motion Blur)) So I have a little headcanon he didn’t like to carry them because well… Taking them away from their home and forcing them to go on an adventure? That sounds a little too close to home. So he’s been working on the Dolls (The ones Rulie uses) they are very new still, and he’s still trying to correct the magic behind them. (I also headcanon Zelda chewed him out about not carrying fairies, so that’s why he has them in A link between worlds)Experts Ring lets you Punch in the Oracle games (It’s as strong as the Noble’s Sword, and the Fist ring is as strong as the Wooden Sword)

“It’s been far longer than 20 years” Zelda stepped in to speak. “You were laid here in the Sacred Realm in your era, but because in our timeline Time failed, the Sacred Realm was corrupted. And in the process you were also Corrupted.”Four looked at the Fabled Princess Zelda, and slowly nodded.
“Did you know the entire time?” Four looked up the Legend.
“I was only able to confirm it completely right at the end, but I had been going to the libraries in different eras to see if I could find any clues on how to save you.” Legend shrugged.

“Oh it’s easy, everyone look at the mirror!” Legend held it up like he was taking a selfie, Zelda jumped in and Four floated in confused.“Everyone say Cheese!” Legend and Zelda gave peace signs, and Four just looked at the duo, “Wha-?”
FLASH!
Before they knew it, the three of them were standing in the throne room of Hyrule Castle.

Legend went to put his arm around Four's shoulder, but went right through, he recovered quickly. “Ah it’s fine, just think! In Twi’s time you're totally fine, and in Wind’s time, you're under the great sea! You only needed to be saved once!- Ah- Four times!” He laughed.Four could also hear a little giggle from Zelda.
“That is a little reassuring… I guess?” Four sounded defeated.
A moment passed in silence before Four spoke again.
“Thank you for saving me.”

Okay so, The Palace of the Four Sword, The only way to get in is to beat Alttp AND Four Swords on the same save file. I'm thinking because Legend didn't know Four beforehand was the reason he was unable to entire! Now that he's met Four and adventured with him, that same achievement would have been unlocked, granting him access to the Palace.Also, I'm gonna try and write Legend in a way I think he's character is going. As in, he's slowly becoming attached to the rest of the chain, so by the end, he actually really cares about the others. So like, when they all say goodbye, I 100% believe Legend will cry.
Four looked at the doll, eyes going wide. “Did Rulie talk to you about them?” He remembers talking with Hyrule about the dolls that saved his life a few times.“No? Did he know something?”
Four looked at him, then back to the doll. The realization hits him that even after Legend’s gone, he’ll still be protecting those he cares about.
“It’s nothing.” Four shook his head. “Keep working on them though.”
“I will!” Legend shoved the doll back into his bag.
