Summary
This story is part of a collection of short tales with a semi-serious tone, inspired by the Kushiel saga and drawn from a thought of Phèdre’s near the end of Kushiel’s Avatar, when she comes to define Imriel as the child of herself and Mélisande. The brilliant absurdity of that detail sparked wild fantasies in me about their family tableau, and the first episode was born almost as a joke.
