Chapter Text
Chris had a big problem.
No it wasn't the fact that while everyone was fighting a major war he was back in the states chillaxing on leave.
No. the problem was he kept feeling like somebody was watching him, and it wasn't anyone in the house.
After he put emily in her crib for a nap, he discussed this feeling with his wife.
"Ellie, I think there's a vampire stalking me" Chris said
Enterprise looked at him with curious confusion.
"Okay I know you're met some weird people and I know there are 5 shipgirls that this could be, but why are you worried?" Enterprise asked
"They could sneak up and get you.....or they could seduce me and take me away" Chris said, blunt as ever
Enterprise stopped her bowstring tuning.
"It isn't duke of york, I know that" Enterprise said, "so the chances of you being taken away willingly are miniscule, hmmm, could be vampire, aptly named.....but wasn't she destroyed by sirens?"
Chris pondered this "so...who does that leave?"
"Not counting vampire META, there's the colorado sisters.....they sort of became undead after pearl harbor, west virginia was the first to vampirise, later her sisters converted too, I don't know how its possible, but if its them....I dont think they'd stalk you.....why do you feel like you're being stalked by a vampire anyway?"
"Classical music, gothic presence, and whispers of blood" Chris said, "whatever the hell that last one is"
"I...see......well uhhh....I don't know what to exactly say.....tell you what if its true, go out and walk....if you start hearing music, follow it and see what happens...I'll be watching with grim....wait where IS that funny bird anyway?" Enterprise asked, looking around.
Chris then heard distant squawks and realised where grim was.
".....you don't want to know" Chris said.
"..........Okay I'll just have a panther fly alongside you then..." Enterprise said, a bitter smile on her face

It was sundown now, Chris walked out, though enterprise had passed out so there was no panther.
He walked carefully, hoping to not run into anything, but as he got closer, he heard a noise that seemed to indicate he should go to the beach.
"........well.....thats weird" he pondered
as he got closer, he recognised the noise as a violin being played...it was being played well, yet clearly someone was practicing, it'd stop and continue and repeat, all abruptly
Chris was confused, who would be playing a violin out here, but then he noticed a beach house, and on the porch, was someone laying down in a chair, glad in a swimsuit, with several drinks nearby.
"COLORADO!?" Chris exclaimed loudly, getting her attention
"EEP, commander, when did you get here!?" Colorado asked nervously
"I live nearby here, what are you doing here?" Chris asked
Colorado blushed a little and adverted her gaze.
"I...I....I.....' she froze up, she realised she was still in her bikini and tried to cover herself up.
Chris looked away to ease her nerves.
"I.....was trying to perform for the animals..." Colorado said
"In a bikini?" Chris asked
"........Vee said it'd help people pay attention to me" Colorado said, trying to deflect from the question.
"Yeah.......uhhh.....the animals dont care...." Chris said
"but you do" colorado muttered quietly.
"I heard that" Chris said with a smirk
Colorado froze up again.
".......d-did you enjoy my music?" Colorado asked suddenly trying to avoid her nerves getting worse
"No that just made it worse......he's gonna know"
Chris sighed with a smile "'rado.....did you just want to be with me?"
Colorado felt her body warm up and her blush was immense, she let her neck covering fall to reveal her nervous smile.
Chris developed adorabetes staring at her smile.
"Damnit battleships aren't supposed to be this adorable" Chris said
"I-I'M NOT TRYING TO BE" Colorado said
"well you're succeeding, almost as much as you are at that violin peace...you play it well" Chris said, hoping a compliment would ease her nerves.
It made her smile more and her eyes closed in happiness.
Chris fell backward and dramatically seized on the sand
"AAAGH, TOO MUCH ADORABLE, HAVING A STROKE-" chris said dramatically.
Colorado ran to him, not thinking, and picked him up to hold him.
"A-ARE YOU OKAY CO-"
*smooch*
Colorado was silenced by a cheek peck.
"hehehe, always wanted to do that to you~" Chris teased
Colorado's face darkened "shall I load commander into my turret?"
Chris started sweating nervously
Colorado's face softened
"I was just kidding, ....that was smooth" Colorado said.....processing what had happened
"And judging by your reaction I'm right, you DID want to see me"
Colorado blushed again
"I....yes.....I love your compliments and your compassion, your vision of the future....I missed you....I missed you a lot" Colorado said
"so you sailed all the way from hawaii, just to see me?" Chris said as colorado let him free.
She nodded
"Colorado....I'm sorry....I know I'd be missed but...you could've just waited" Chris said
"yes....but maryland and west virginia...they left too....they went on a romantic getaway with their officers...so there was just me..."
Chris nodded in understanding.
"so...why the bikini?"
Colorado blushed furiously
"I...." she didn't finish the sentence
Chris held her to his chest, as he texted enterprise who was woken up.
Her response was quick
"I had a suspicion...she really likes you, she always looked forward to your orders, she's harmless, she can stay with us if she wants, just dont get her pregnant please, emily's enough XD"
Chris turned to Colorado who hadn't moved.
"Hey.....I hear you're a vampire" chris said
Colorado blushed
"I-its true.....do you....mind it?"
"I find them very hot" Chris said
".......oh......" colorado felt like facepalming
"I could've been with him sooner if I just admitted it..."
"I-I dont follow usual rules....the daylight weakens me but I dont die, and blood....isn't required but siren fuel is quite delectable" colorado said pulling back to explain.
"I see, ....do you still have an urge to bite people?" Chris said, a little flustered
"........why are you nervous about asking that?" Colorado asked
Chris blushed
"........are you serious right now?"
"Yes"
Colorado didn't know how to react.
".......I..I may or may not....but I was going to ask.....c-can I see your chest?" Colorado said with a blush
Chris relented and took his shirt off, sitting down on the sand.
Colorado sat down next to him and stared at him.
".......I believe enterprise has told why we're so interested about scars.....as kansen.....we don't get those....we're either born with them or don't.....and they never go away" she said as she stroked chris's scars, the sensation making him groan softly.
"........that...feels good?"
".....yes, the touch is wonderful" chris said, losing himself to the sensational haze
Colorado felt herself heat up, she had reeled him in by complete accident.
"......aren't I cold to the touch?" Colorado asked, remembering chris had held her earlier
"if you're cold, then I'll let you be warm with me, least I can do to thank you for all you've done" Chris said, putting a warm hand to touch colorado's breast.
She didn't object, but when chris pulled away upon realising what he did, colorado pulled it back towards her
"no....keep it on me.....keep them both on me" she said, pulling his arms towards bher and guiding his hands until they were holding her firmly, his warmth making her purr.
Chris for his part pulled her close and patted her head, making her softly squee.
Her adorableness was matched only by her body, and the gentle strokes she gave him.
They stayed like that for a long time, until it got cold.
"alright let's go, its getting cold out' Chris said, pulling colorado up.
Colorado sighed and put on her sweater
"alright....but when we get home.....can I..."
"No, enterprise claims priority.....but if it helps, you can play the violin for emily" chris said
Colorado's eyes sparkled
"I.......have never tried to entertain a baby.....t-thank you"
Chris just smiled and walked her back to the house.
When they got inside, they saw emily playing with a toy piano.
Colorado walked up to emily to get a closer look, and emily stared at her, pacifier in mouth, with curiosity.
Enterprise greeted chris was a cheek peck
"so...she just wanted a little moment in the sand huh?"
"I told her she could play for emily" chris said.
Colorado got out her violin and began playing it.
She didn't get much time to play until she heard a soft clunk, emily had fallen over and was snoring.
"...I think she likes it" Chris said, "well done colorado"
Colorado blushed with a smile.
"Thank you.....my commander"
