He didn’t even think his audition was anything that great— he had stumbled his way through the cold read of the audition sides, he had gotten into a minor disagreement with his audition scene partner that led to him dreaming of yanking the guy’s hair out, and oh. The guy from auditions, who also happened to be the one person in the last year’s production of The Glass Menagerie that Grantaire couldn’t forget. He had only gone to see the show to support his best friend— Eponine had landed the role of Laura in an attempt to romance the blundering fool who was auditioning for Jim—, but had left the PAC tormented by visions of blond. Eponine had kindly informed him that Enjolras didn’t date; he had made it very clear at a cast party when a nervous techie asked him out on a date— rumour (Courfeyrac) has it that the techie was never seen again.
