Chapter Text
SnowFall Village
Crunchy looked up from the map, and signed in relief. "Finally I'- ACK- Fluffbutt!" One of his Cream Wolves whined as he was being nudged along. "I know we just arrived here, and the snow looks good enough to sleep in, but still, it's the home of my brother, and I want to make a good impression."
It was because of Dark Choco that he was here anyways. He's been meaning to visit Choco anyway, but with some recent news, he felt the need to go over and help his brother.
See the reason for Crunchy Chip Cookie's arrival at this village was simple. His brother texted them all, them being him, Caramel, and Affogato, about a very recent new thing that had him stressed as all utter Oven Fire.
The reason? He was pregnant again. And apparently didn't use the Cutters, just woke up, discovered it, and was unraveling because he didn't expect it. Affogato said he couldn't go for some reason, which he had yet to say. Caramel couldn't come, too busy with work.
So that left just him. Not that he minded, he loves traveling around just looking for answers and changes in their world. Some of which he can't really explain to anyone.
He remembers the ghosts of what apparently was his grandparents, who had been there so long that they were kinda just permantly there because their magic was essentially a part of the forest at that point. Weird day, but hey it was fun with Swamp Wizard Cookie. It was fun while it lasted.
Either way, he saw some things he probably shouldn't have, but hey he's still alive. Either way, he needed to check up on his brother.
The place looked rather quaint enough, no wonder Dark Choco settled down here. It didn't have the Walls yes, but it did have a sort of Citadel feel to it, abit more colorful with all the lights, as it was getting dark out. He could see people coming and going here and there, but they were too far away to tell.
He signed, looking around for that Purple light Caramel had mentioned. That's the one that's supposed to be Choco's house right? He soon spots it, a while away from the sign saying SnowFall, but that was okay.
He also perked up at seeing the Peach tree a while away, seemed their dad was here too! He was halfway to his brother's house, when he stepped on something- "Ow!" He blinked. Was that a cookie's voice? It sounded young. But there was nothing but snow on where he stepped. Beyond a snowy bulge within the snow, it probably was a kid anyways.
So, naturally he sticks his hand into the pile of snow, and grabs what he hopes is an arm, and yanks them out. He'd gotten stronger, having to cut his own wood, train his own wolves, it was a whole thing. He blinked as suddenly the pile of snow became a small little child, who he was holding upside down.
He blinks at them. The child blinks back before- "Hey! You woke me up!" It was a young girl's voice and he blinked. "Pardon?" The child huffed at him. "Wanted to surprise my dad. . . But he hasen't done his route yet! And I feel asleep! Put me down so I can wait for him!" He looks around. There wasn't anyone nearby.
"Who's your dad if you don't me asking?" He kinda had a feeling but he couldn't make it out. The child then glared at him and then pointed at the ground. Ah. Right. He put down the young girl and he blinks. "Ah- your dad is Dark Choco, am I right?" The child's eyes then blinked in shock.
"You know my dad!?" It was obvious now, and he was mentally kicking himself for not seeing it sooner. Tiny little horn nubs at the top of uncontrollable brownish hair. . . Red eyes. . . The familiar scales on her face. . . He can't help but chuckle. "Hey! I'm asking you questions!" The kid- now known as Cocoa then realizes her mistake before fixing it. "Please?"
He shakes his head for a solid minute, before rubbing her hair. "I know him quite well, after all he's my brother." She looks up at him in shock. "You're my dad's brother? Like the Neo Triplets?" He nodded, although he didn't know who those people were. "Eh- We're more like quadruplets, I'm guessing you already met your Auntie Caramel?"
Cocoa nods. "I like her! She gave me some good mugs for hot chocolate! And is able to shoot real fast! What can you do uh-" Cocoa seemed to realize something and he chuckles. "I'm your Uncle Crunchy, and hey-" He whistles for the softest of the bunch of his wolves. "Attention!" His dogs all lined up, and He smiled as Cocoa seemed to gasp in amazement.
"I train wolves and explore the world." His dogs were all being good boys as he addressed them well. "Listen up, my fellow recruts! We're here for an undetermend amount of time! We're going to be kind to the locals, that means no destroying, no maiming unless I say so, and staying nearby where I will rest. Do I make myself clear!"
His wolves nodded, some huffing in response. He smirked. "Good boys!" They all wagged their tail. He then looked at Cocoa. "Let's go see your dad, alright?" She was looking at him amazement. "Woah. . . You're not as cool as Auntie Caramel, but that was still really cool!" Ah yes. Caramel did say she was rather blunt. He rolled his eyes and walked in the direction of Choco's home.
Might as well. Seemed Cocoa was a lot more interesting that Caramel makes her out to- He paused then looked back. He made an solid distance, but it seems- "Oh shit-"
Cocoa had apparently tripped, being sniffed by all his wolves. And currently she was laughing as they licked her. "Hey! No!" He grabs Cocoa by the scruff of her jacket and pulling her up. He looked at her, still giggling and covered in snow. ". . . You okay?" She looked back down at the excited wolves. "They're so fluffy!" He smiles, signing in relief. At least she was okay.
"Can I stay out here and pet them? Please?" He was given a pleading look, and he just rolls his eyes as he smiles. "Okay, but if you end up trapped in kisses, I am not saving you again." She giggles as he put her down, and was immediately swarmed by several wolves who wanted pets.
As he walked away, he's trying not to laugh as he hears her sqwack. "I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH HANDS!" Oh dear. First he's going to check up on his brother.
Next, possibly save his niece from drowning in cuteness.
