"I'm over here, Merlin," Arthur grumbles from his spot at the window, putting a halt to Merlin's shock before it can blossom into panic.
"Wow," Merlin begins, the relief evident in his voice,
"up before I wake you? I have to say, I'm impressed... and you made your bed? Arthur, are you feeling all right?"Two fingers enter his mouth abruptly, and he chokes on them a little bit before righting himself and sucking on them like a good king does.
