Summary
“You kissed me.” Those three words coming from Adora’s mouth should sound perfect, after all the yearning Catra’s felt, but Adora’s voice was too distraught for Catra to feel warmth.
“I’m pregnant,” Catra revealed, watching Adora’s face crumple.
“You kissed me,” Adora repeated, this time bitterly. Catra’s heart sank as Adora’s eyes watered and her eyebrows furrowed, “you kissed me, whilst I have a girlfriend and you’re pregnant.” Catra opened her mouth but she was speechless. Slowly, she hugged herself, teary eyes, “I’m going.” Adora stormed toward the exit. Catra went to speak when Adora turned around, and suddenly Catra shrunk under Adora's stare. For just a moment, Adora’s eyes softened, the gaze that Catra loved returning, before her stare hardened. Catra blinked tears down her cheeks, trailing from her jaw to the floor.
“I’m sorry,” Catra said, and Adora walked out.
