Chapter Text
Jennie and Lisa have been in a relationship for more than four years now, and they are very happy. Lisa was thinking of incorporating Jennie into the family so she can get used to it and decided to talk to Rosé about it. “So, what do you think I should do? I want them to respect her when I finally introduce her, so they know she’s not to be messed around,” Lisa said to Rosé, who was listening. “Does Jennie still want to be a lawyer?” was her question to Lisa. “Yeah, we’ve talked about it many times,” Lisa replied to Rosé, who nodded. “Well, encourage her to study again, and if she works for us, she’ll be untouchable and respected,” was Rosé’s suggestion.
Hearing that Lisa thought what Rosé suggested was a good idea, she asked, “Oh, but how about Jisoo?” This was her question about the writer since Rosé and she were dating. “They’re not gonna do anything since they’re gonna be more focused on you, since you’re the leader of the Manoban mafia,” Rosé reminded Lisa, who nodded. After that, they talked about some business and other things until Lisa went home and saw Jennie waiting for her on the couch. Jennie had decided to move in with Lisa after two years of dating. After seeing each other, Lisa melted in her arms as she missed her so much. They then went to the dining area to eat dinner, and there Lisa decided to ask the question, “Have you thought of going back to law school?”.
That question caught Jennie’s attention as she looked up at Lisa. “I’ve been thinking, but why do you ask?” was her question to Lisa, as she was curious. “Well, I asked because I thought it would be beneficial if you decided to study law and become a lawyer, so the others will take you seriously and respect you as my girl,” Lisa tried to explain to Jennie, who understood what the word *others* meant. “It’s also another way to protect you, and yes, I am able to protect you, but being my family’s lawyer has added benefits to it,” Lisa added. “It’s also understandable if you don’t want to do it; I understand,” Lisa reassured her with a smile. “Actually, I don’t mind because I think it’s time for me to study law again,” she told Lisa, who smiled and went back to eating their dinner and talking about different topics.
After dinner, the two decided to plan where Jennie would study and agreed that she should attend a good university. Jennie chose to use the money she had saved up for her tuition, as she had earned a lot despite Lisa’s insistence on paying for it. Jennie didn’t want to rely on Lisa’s money, and after explaining her reasoning, Lisa backed down. However, she would be the one taking Jennie home, and Jennie was fine with that. For three years, Jennie studied hard, and Lisa supported her all the way, feeling proud when Jennie graduated from law school. Lisa then paid for Jennie’s tuition at the Judicial Research & Training Institute (JRTI) for her mandatory training, and Jennie didn’t mind. After that, Jennie worked at Rosé’s firm through her recommendation and started her career.
Lisa was very happy that Jennie was achieving her dream of becoming a lawyer, and seeing her rise to become one of the top lawyers in the country made her very proud of her girlfriend. After a few months, Jennie was hired as one of the lawyers for the family and worked under Rosé. They were friends before this, but working together brought them closer than ever to the point where you could see them gossiping about things. It slightly terrifies Lisa to see them get along so well and how efficient they are when they work together. Other than that, Lisa and Jennie’s relationship has never been stronger than before. Yes, their relationship has been perfect, but when Jennie started working as her lawyer, it strengthened their bond as they trusted each other more in their work, and Lisa was happy that it was going well.
And it had been years since Jennie became a lawyer and was well-respected among the family. At some point, Lisa decided to propose to Jennie, and she did it at one of their favorite restaurants. The look Jennie gave her before and after saying yes will be one of her most treasured memories until the day she dies. This is where the story started. It began when people were curious about who Lisa’s fiancé was and tried to spot them. However, since Lisa and Jennie were in a private relationship and were good at being professional, they could never be spotted. There are always people who try to invade their privacy, but they learn the hard way, and because of this, that warning came about.
Funny enough, even if no one knows about her relationship, the news of her engagement spread to everyone. However, Lisa only learned about it when Jennie and Rosé told her in her office while she was talking to her men. “I’m surprised the news of our engagement spread so fast,” Jennie said as she sat down. “Well, everyone is weirdly invested since Lisa is the favorite of Teddy, the person she worked for before creating her own mafia,” Rosé then told Jennie. Lisa was reminded that only Teddy knew about Jennie since she introduced her to him years ago, and the man was just happy to know that Lisa found someone to love and she will always be forever grateful to him flr everything.
After the mention of Lisa’s father, brother figure, and mentor, Lisa then thought of something: “Why don’t we do the reveal at our wedding?” was her suggestion, which made Jennie and Rosé look at her. “I’m just suggesting it as a fun way to surprise them and make the wedding enjoyable for everyone to finally figure out,” Lisa explained to Jennie, who thought about it. “Actually, you have a point. It would also be nice for people to stop trying to be nosy,” Jennie said as she agreed. “Well, we have our answer now; you guys get to plan the wedding,” Rosé then said with a small laugh, and the two left as they had work to do. “See you at home,” Jennie told Lisa with a smile as she kissed her before leaving, which made Lisa feel more energized to do more work, as she couldn’t wait to go home.
It took a very long time, but they were able to plan their wedding. They decided to make it modest and invited their friends as well as the mafia leaders. To avoid raising suspicion, Jennie was seen throughout the wedding checking if everything was fine so no one would catch on until the event started. Lisa stood at the altar waiting for the bride when she heard whispers. “Where’s Jennie?” one asked. “I guess she’s getting the bride,” the other replied. Lisa chuckled softly and looked at Rosé, who was her maid of honor, and Jisoo, the bridesmaid; they looked amused as well. After a moment, the wedding started, and Lisa was ready. When Jennie entered wearing the gorgeous wedding dress, Lisa heard gasps from a few people. “Well, everyone knows now,” Lisa thought, but she didn’t care about the people as she was focused on the person who would be her wife.
The ceremony was beautiful, and they were pronounced wives. After that, they went to the reception and had the best night of their lives. Lisa was thankful that everything went as smoothly as possible and met up with the leaders, who were amused by the events and congratulated both of them. After mingling with the guests, Lisa and Jennie headed over to the car, as they had a flight to catch since they were going somewhere for their honeymoon. They passed by the university where they first met, and Lisa smiled, happy that she had a desire to study something again. Because of that, she ended up meeting the love of her life, and she couldn’t wait to spend the rest of her life with her.
