Chapter Text
Every Sunday, there would be a mass. And the orphans are given the permission to go to the church and attend mass. But two kittens would sneak out of the orphanage in the shadow of the night. They had recently met nice old man, whom calls himself, Mr. Drew, he would always treat them with some ice cream after mass.
The two talked as they headed to the park to meet with Mr. Drew.
"I wonder what flavor will be available today..." The young girl says, she trails off, entering a daydream.
"Well I'm craving vanilla." The young boy responds, snapping his sister out of her daydream.
She groans, "Vanilla is such a basic flavor!"
"Vanilla isn't basic, you just have bad taste!" He yells back.
"Yes it is basic! You're just to much of a mule to admit it!" She shoves his shoulder.
"I'm not a mule!"
"Yes you are!"
"Am not!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"No!"
"Yes!" He yelled. Then his sister smirked, "I got you!" She says in a sing song tone, he groans in response.
The young girl giggles and grabs her brothers hand as they ran to the to a old man napping alone on a bench.
"Mr. Drew!" The two called out, waking the man from his slumber. The kittens went and sat on the bench. Mr. Drew turns to them "Well hello, so how was sunday mass?"
"Bo-"
"Uneventful." The girl interrupts her brother.
Mr. Drew chuckles and stands, "We should hurry and get ice cream, I dont want to keep you two waiting."
"Yay!" The two cheered, but stayed at the bench and waited for Mr. Drew.
The man approachs a ice cream stand and Mr. Drew buys two of the best selling flavor, Vanilla. He heads back to the twins and gives the two their ice cream
Bendy licks at his ice cream
Dolly bites hers
"Mr. Drew?" Bendy works up the courage, "Why does the chocolate taste so weird?"
Mr. Drew turns to Bendy with a easy smile, "The chocolate must've expired."
Dolly quickly ate her ice cream, trying not to gag as she ate the smooth but still disgusting chocolate on top.
Dolly stands and she takes Bendy's hand and they quickly headed back from the orphanage. They easily snuck back in and they went to their room up in the attic.
Bendy takes off his shoes and settles in his bed. Did he have dinner? No need, he isn't hungry anyway...
As the sun rose, so did the people at the orphanage. The adults woke up first, bustling about to get breakfast ready and the children would wake soon after and would head down to the cafeteria to get food.
Bendy and Dolly took a seat on one of the unoccupied tables and ate their food. Bendy shoveled his spoon into his mouth, he stuck his tongue out in disgust.
Then suddenly one their caretakers approached, "Are you two finished with your meals?" She sat down at the empty seats infront of the twins.
Dolly stares down at her food, "No..." She poked her food around, she really wanted some ice cream, even if the chocolate drizzled on top tasted weird, its still better than cold pouridge. She scarfed it down anyway.
Bendy and Dolly followed the woman to the administrator office. Bendy held his sisters hand, she let him, even though his palms were sweaty. Dolly pushes the door open and the two entered.
The administrator looked down at the two with a warm smile, "Hello, children. I have splendid new for you two." Bendy and Dolly looked at Mr. Drew, whom was sitting on the chair infront of the administrator's desk.
"This kind man will be adopting you two."
Bendy's hold on Dolly's hand relaxed, "That's nice..."
"Now, you two should pack. You'll be leaving tomorrow morning." The administrator shooed the two away.
"Bendy?"
"Yeah?" Bendy grabs a shirt and shoves it in his bag.
"... Are you exited?" Dolly is sat on the side of her bed, already done packing.
Bendy turns to his sister. "Of course I am! Mr. Drew has been so nice to us."
"Mhm..." Dolly hums, distractively.
"What is it?"
"I don't know... I just have this weird feeling in my gut." She wrungs her hands on her lap.
"Are you gonna throw up or something?" He raised her brow.
"No i'm not! Mr. Drew is just... Too nice?"
"Too nice?" Bendy stops packing and moves closer to Dolly.
"Look Bendy. The older kids warned us about this, i'm suggesting that we be careful."
Bendy pauses, then he sighs. "... Alright fine, fine."
"Thanks, Bendy."
"Your welcome, sis."
