Chapter 1: The Rito of the North
Chapter Text
The frosty winds flowed through the dense and barren trees of the forest as the blizzard intensified. The sounds of a struggling bike filled the air as it was joined by the sound of curses. “Goddess damn it” someone yelled out in anger as their bike kicked up snow in a futile attempt to move forward. “For fuck sake” they kept cursing as their hoody kept the cold at bay.
It had been a long journey for you by this point. The heights of New Ordon to the sprawling farmlands around Hateno City. And now here you were, out of service, in the middle of both nowhere and the worst snowstorm ever seen in both Hebra’s history. “Fuck” you cursed through your tightly wrapped scarf as your hair blew in the wind. Your dark gray jumper had all but lost its color due to the snow that now covered it. And it being your only jumper was even more of a concern. But some more quickly rounded the corner.
A squad of bikes rolled through as their headlights nearly blinded you. They seemingly tried to hit you seeing as how close they got. What made it even worse were their failed attempts at hitting you with their makeshift bats. “HEY, YOU MIND!” You yelled out as you heard them laughing. They turned around as they revved up. “Oh SHIT!” you yelled as you dove out of the way of another attempted strike. The other did the same but actually managed to hit you. Your back ached at that feeling as you horrified felt something warm trickle down your back. The Bokoblins simply laughed at your fear before they revved up again. Before they could reach you their bike suddenly flipped over as the front wheel stalled.
“Now what gives either of you permission to attack her hmm?” an unknown voice called from somewhere above. You looked around trying to see the origin of the voice. The Bokoblins too looked around before a small object flew over them and hit one of their bladed bats out of their hand. Another arrow thunked into the other bike as the Bokoblins took off in fear.
“H-Hello?” you yelled out into the snow as you looked around. Before you turned around at the sound of something landing. It gave you a start, the being behind you as his emerald green eyes just stared. “My what’s a thing like you doing this far out I wonder?” He spoke with a level of ego and confidence. He wore a bright blue hood and scarf with a deep red type of shirt underneath. “Too struck for words are you?” the man said as his hand came to his chest. Well calling it a hand was generous as his fingers were more like…
…feathers.
“Y-You’re a Rito?” you said as you stared at his now obvious beak. “Oh well aren’t you perceptive, I am Revali, the Best Marksman in Tabantha!” he boasted as you just looked at him. “Never heard of you” you said bluntly causing his confident stare to turn to daggers right at you. “Well that just won’t do now will it?” he said before you slowly keeled over in pain.
The slice on your back finally touched the cold air and caused the painful sensation to spread through your body. “Well, you can come along with me to my cabin…for a—”, “just fucking help me, please” you barked as Revali moved to pick you up. However you slowly but surely began to feel drowsy.
—(𝌡)—
The Hylian suddenly slumped over as Revali carried them. “Oh come on don’t act like tha—” he cut himself off as he realised they weren’t acting. They had fallen unconscious and Revali found himself panicking. “Don’t you go bleeding on me” he spoke as he got the hylian on his back and took off. The flight was decently uneventful besides smaller movements you made. Revali had Never found himself this concerned, he couldn’t tell why. But he assumed it had to do with a feeling he’d recently gotten. But that wasn’t important right now. They were bleeding all over his freshly cleaned clothes and preened plumage.
Slowly his small cabin came into view as he beelined for it. As the Hylian began slurring their words as they barely held onto consciousness. “Hang on there, just hang on” he said as he landed onto the snow. He slowly and carefully laid the Hylian down on a spare bed. He easily gained access to the wound and he slowly stitched it up.
And when he turned them around to fully wrap the bandage around their chest he squawked. Sure he knew what a Hylian female’s chest looked like, but it was still an odd sight for the Rito. Especially considering his…no no he couldn’t think about that right now. She was his primary concern if only second to himself. Once he got the bandage fully over the stitches and her chest he took a break. Walking outside into the cold air to practice, hoping to take his mind off of her.
—(𝌡)—
You finally woke up and looked around in a slight panic. The large room didn’t look familiar and was covered floor to ceiling in marksmen related memorabilia. You felt a tightness around your chest and back and saw the hastily put together bandages and felt the stitches on your back underneath it. It all slowly clicked as you got up and grabbed a nearby jacket for some level of decency. It was a black furred collar one with large sleeves to hold the wings of who presumably owned this. You peered outside seeing only snow and then moved towards the door.
Opening it you caught yourself as you looked down in fear. The home was high up on a large vertical rock and the veranda that wrapped around it made a large circle. “So you’re not dead hmm?” the voice of your new host said as you swerved around. There he stood just on the edge of a protruding platform overlooking the large drop.
“Well are you going to say anything?” he said expectantly as he seemed to be, quivering? “T-Thanks I guess” you said as the cold slowly began to get to you. “Let’s go inside I wouldn’t want you freezing to death out here” he said as he walked over and led you inside. You sat on his bed as he preened the snow out of his feathers. He seemed to be wearing a more casual outfit as opposed to the outfit you’d met him in. The long coat that was hung up was familiar as he threw it to you. “That should be more fruitful than that old thing” he signalled to the jacket you wore.
Taking it off you caught his eye as he just stared at you showing no sign of reaction. However his eye made infinitesimal movements over your barely covered body. Once the large coat fell over you and adjustments were made Revali stepped backward. “Well don’t you just look adorable?” he said as you just stared at him.
“Well this is certainly no weather to be traveling in, so pray tell what were you doing out there?” he asked as he took some random items out of a cabinet. Quickly turning on the stove he began to prepare some type of soup. “I-I was just travelling”, “Travelling where?”, “J-Just anywhere” Revali quietly worked on his soup as he turned around. “Nowhere in particular hmmm?, well that prospect’s going to have to wait, this blizzard isn’t expected to let up anytime soon” Revali said as the soup slowly let off a steam plume. You internally cursed realising you’d probably have to spend a few weeks at least with the imbecile you were staring at.
—(𝌡)—
Revali also thought the same seeing as how he would’ve preferred to spend this winter isolated as he usually did. And add onto that he’d spent the better part of the day cleaning and preening his feathers in preparation for his molt and you’d covered the feathers on his back and wings in blood. And yet there was something he couldn’t shake, a certain smell he recognised. One he’d guessed the Hylian smelt too as he saw her look confused.
‘Great’, he thought as he realised his body was already getting hot and bothered by her presence. “So want some soup or are you just going to sit there?” Revali asked as he held up the ladle with the soup in it. Getting up she walked over to the pretentious bird and took a bowl he’d gotten out from hands and poured herself some of the steaming soup.
Revali however wasn’t too focused on the soup but rather an odd smell his senses picked up. His body began to quake ever so slightly before he steadied himself and took off to his bed. The Hylian however found their way to a seat on the opposite side of the cabin which he was slightly glad for. That smell was almost unnoticeable by now as its presumable source was on the opposite side to where he was now. However his thoughts went to a place he wasn’t expecting as he realised what his mind was doing. The sight of their form, pinned down under him with his…
…No No NO he shouldn’t be thinking about that now, not to a guest. But his mind kept wandering to that image his mind had conjured up for a split second. Their pale white skin, pressed against his navy blue feathers as his beak moved towards her lips. A biologically unsound embrace but he connected the dots as to why he was feeling this. ‘Really, mating season now of all times?’ his internal voice asked his instincts before he let out a slight groan. That smell hit his senses again like a truck before he even realised the sound he’d let out. The Hylian simply looked over at him confused before he thought of an excuse. “Just…impressed by the taste of my own cooking” the excuse he thought was excellent quickly fell flat as they simply responded, “You like mediocrity don’t you?”.
Those words hit his heart in a way nothing else had before. But his thoughts quickly asked why That had annoyed him so much. Was his mind already connecting her to some level of importance? But he absolutely couldn’t think about that right now as he realised his soup was getting cold and he’d gotten another odd look from the Hylian. Was he just staring at her while his thoughts went to deeper and deeper depraved thoughts?
He tucked into his soup and did decently enjoy it as he kept at it until the bowl was nothing. Without even asking her grabbed another bowl of the stuff and set it aside before pouring the rest of it in a container and storing it in the fridge. “Well feel free to tuck yourself in on one of these beds and here’s another bowl if you’re still hungry, I’m turning in for the night” Revali called out behind him at the Hylian as he quickly shut the door leading into his nest as his legs had begun to give way.
He came crashing into his bed as his hand was tempted to travel to his crotch. But he kept himself contained as he sprayed his deodorant everywhere and hid under his covers from the wafting scent of the female in the other room. He absolutely wouldn’t survive the next few weeks of the blizzard with her.
—(𝌡)—
Sitting there after Revali’s hasty exit you kept at your now second bowl of soup before moving over to the bed. You’d noticed a weird smell you assumed was from the fact that Revali was the only person who lived here. So laying in bed you checked your phone for a quick second as you went over to a tracking app. ‘She’s on the other side of the continent, the trick worked’ you thought as you felt a deep weight from your chest lighten. “Hey Revali!?” You called out before getting a muffled grumble in response. “Wanna help me get my bike from the snow later!?” you only got a sharp and quick “CERTAINLY, QUICKER THAT THING’S FIXED QUICKER YOU’RE GONE!”.
That wasn’t like the words he’d said earlier, more crass than anything. But that was also something you were hoping for, getting the fuck out of here before that someone caught up. Then you slowly turned over and closed your eyes. But that didn’t last too long as you heard a door open. However it was far darker than before and a small alarm clock read 3:51 am. The footsteps of someone nearing you was far louder now that there was nothing to drown it out. Then you felt the presence of someone getting closer to you before standing right behind you. Out of fear you didn’t move rather trying to feel out what this intruder was doing. You felt his hands nearly touch you before his voice told himself off. “No, no this, why am I…fuck mating season” you heard them say before slowly walking away from you. But it was a voice you recognised…
…it was Revali’s.
He whispered another curse to himself as he shut the door and let out a muffled sound. You propped yourself up on one arm as you looked towards the partially open door as a sudden smell hit you. Similar to the one from earlier but more concentrated than before. Deciding to leave it for the evening you laid back down and covered yourself in the blanket again. You closed your eyes as you slowly cleared your mind but you were sure of one thing.
This was going to be a long ass winter.
Chapter 2: Cabin Fever
Summary:
It's been a few days and safe to say, you can't fucking stand each other.
Especially now that you're unwilling to admit that some part of you is slowly falling for this bird.

Chapter Text
It had been two days by now and nothing significant had happened. Besides, Revali's ego and weirdness that had begun to drive you to near insanity. Soup and rarely meat that Revali had hunted in between his near constant training and resting within the cabin. You and Revali had also taken a full day to get your bike out of the snow and up into a shed near the entrance to Revali’s little compound. It had now become a daily pilgrimage to fix the ice damage to it.
And despite the snow and very short downtimes in the near hurricane speed winds of the blizzard Revali had made the effort to get you any part that needed replacing from damage no matter the weather. Fortunately for your sleep schedule Revali hadn’t done what he did the other night however he supplemented it with another activity. Thank Hylia you kept your headphones properly charged as you probably wouldn’t sleep properly without them.
Then there was how he acted whenever you spent time in the same room. His unique personality was still there, sure but he always kept himself uncomfortable and made his way out of any room once what he needed to do was done. And, training, training, just training was all he did, day after day nothing else. Even how he treated his home made you realise how much of a perfectionist he is. Even the smallest detail if it was slightly out of sync with the rest of his cabin he’d make a comment.
And that’s what he’d done after you had apparently “completely trashed the bed I’d so kindly given you” as Revali put it. “Well maybe if you’d be able to stand me for a second you wouldn’t be bugging me over moving a single fucking pillow!” you yelled as Revali stood far away from you. “Oh trust me I can’t stand your mere presence and I let you live here, you should be respecting my space since I can throw you out into the snow at any time!” Revali made boisterous movements as if to one up you. “Maybe if you’d like…I don’t know give me some space for fucking once…let me be on my own and find my own way out of this!?” you kept it up causing an annoyed sigh from Revali.
—(𝌡)—
Revali stared at the enraged Hylian as she kept tearing into him. Sure she did have a point but his ego could never let him fully accept that. Truly he didn’t mind you making alterations to the space, what he was annoyed about was how prevalent your scent had become. Random strewn clothes, bedsheets and seats all covered in the residual smell that was driving him to near insanity.
His thoughts were drawn out as the Hylian then decided to throw the bedsheet onto him. “Well if you don’t fucking like how I set a bed show me how to” The Hylian said as Revali’s thoughts went blank for a split second. That smell completely covered him and infiltrated every part of his mind and for a split second his thoughts went back there. Her soft skin pressing against his feathers as warmth and heat cascaded across him.
But before those thoughts could go any further he threw the blanket off and continued his argument with the Hylian. “Well not exactly my fault you don’t know how to set a bed properly!” Revali kept avoiding mentioning what he knew to be the reason for his annoyance. “Yeah well it’s just how I set shit!” She kept at it with her words as Revali just stared at her in annoyance. “Well maybe you should be shown how to set something then” Revali held his hand to his chest before the Hylian scoffed. “Like I’d want a creep like you to teach me anything!” she yelled as she threw the blanket down as Revali once again scoffed.
“I Am, Not a Creep!” Revali yelled as he unknowingly picked up the blanket causing her smell to wash over him again. This time it went further as he felt his pants tighten before he threw the blanket away. “OH Don’t get me started, you were creepy as shit the other night!” She yelled before her face fell as Revali stared right at her. “Y-You were awake for that!?” He shakily yelled as her eyes suddenly filled with fear as they met his furious ones. Without any warning she took a jacket and stormed out as Revali just watched them walk away. Through the blizzard she went to the shed and slammed the door. Revali looked down at his hands realising he’d accidentally balled them up into a fist.
He scoffed his feelings away but they kept creeping back in as if he was subconsciously caring about her. However he quickly smelt the blanket again as he picked it up and just stared at it for a moment. ‘Why am I being like this?’ he thought to himself before he felt his pants tighten and he took off into his room for an impromptu nap. But before he did he set the bed that had started this whole argument before cursing to himself.
—(𝌡)—
For the next few hours you found yourself unbothered by Revali as you kept working on your bike. You kept at it until you noticed the room turning dark as the sun slowly dipped below the mountains. ‘Time to go face him’ you thought as you got up. The good news is the bike was going alright so far, ready to depart in a small three day downtime in the blizzard before it picked up again. As you walked up the path the pit in your chest grew heavier and heavier. You’d done some light research and knew why he was acting like this but it still scared you when he made that fist. Your hands shook at the mere thought of that image again.
Walking up into the cabin it was noticeably quiet, the snow laden wind that rushed passed being the only sound. Not even the usual groans he made in his sleep or during the activity that he’d taken to in order to prevent more late night creepiness. ‘Fuck why did you mention that?’ you questioned yourself as you looked down at the now cleanly made bed. Your mind then flashed to the split second moment he’d had earlier when you’d thrown the blanket on him. Was that why he’s been so hot and bothered recently, cause it was his. “Fffuuuuucccckkkk” a sudden sound originated from the shut room as you knew Revali had woken up, clearly passed when he intended. However you shot the door a glance as Revali stepped out into the main room.
That’s when his emerald green eyes landed on yours as he froze mid step. You gave him a look which seemingly told him you were ready to talk to which he sat down. “So, I assume your tantrum is over?” you asked Revali as he scowled. Through a pressed together beak he responded with a simple affirmation. “What’s your problem with a fist?” Revali asked as you felt your body tremble. “M-My mother, she’s the reason for that” once you said that your eyes began to plead with Revali and he took note. “And I assume you’re aware of my…thing, now?” he asked as you took a seat on the bed.
“Yeah…mating season must be rough huh?” you asked, to which Revali let off a little chuckle before he took a seat on the bed opposite to you. “Not typically, most Rito sequester themselves, and often most Rito are too young to feel these drives or already have a mate by the time they’re an adult” he said as he gripped and let the blanket below him go. “Why don’t you have a mate, thought the ‘Best Marksman in Tabantha’ would have some big breasted Rito girl fawning after him” you commented as Revali just stared at you. “R-Rito don’t typically have breasts but yes, they’ve fawned over me before, but never really found any interest in them, distracts me” he said as he just stared at you.
“Ummm, the bike’s working so I’ll probably be out of your, uh feathers, soon” You said as Revali let out a sigh that was a mix of relief and defeat. You thought of a way to turn this around as you began to think about a way to end this little partnership in a proper way. “So leaving, haha ehhh” you said as Revali noticed your embarrassment. “What are you trying to insinuate?” Revali asked as you got up. “W-Well, wouldn’t y’know giving into that desire help?” Revali cawed in surprise as his head shot towards you. You gave a hearty laugh as you insisted you were kidding as you realised what was happening to you too. “W-Wanna have dinner before I head out in the morning?” you quickly added before standing up and moving towards the kitchen.
You felt Revali just staring at you as you grabbed some random ingredients and began to make some homemade pizza. Revali let you go at it and once you put the pizza in the oven he cleared his throat. “Now about earlier my—” you held up your hand before Revali grabbed it and tugged it and you down and towards him. Your face was ever so slightly away from his now, his emerald green eyes piercing right towards yours.
“Earlier, what was that?” he asked as you looked down at his hands. He had a softer grip as he slowly relented seeing the fear you showed no sign of hiding. His hand then took yours again and softly rubbed over it as Revali’s expression softened. “Earlier was me…wanting to leave with a bang, a-a-as much as I hate how you act most of the time, you seem nice” you answered as the warmth of the oven seemed colder than the searing tension between the two of you.
“If you’re wondering, yes, it would help but it’d make us mates…for Life” Revali said as he just stared at you. “And you should know I get, antsy, if we are to spend time apart” Revali continued as you both just stared at each other. However then the image of your mother popped into your head as you asked for a moment. Checking your phone you saw her marker still on the other side of the country but closer than before. And making a beeline for here, you’d have to leave soon but still wanted to do something. “Well, have you decided?” Revali had suddenly appeared behind you as you instantly turned your phone off.
—(𝌡)—
Revali had noticed the Hylian’s fear as he kept note of the marker. “L-Let’s have dinner first” she responded as Revali looked over at the oven. “Well at least you’re not entirely asinine” Revali said as she and him sat on the bed and waited. Dinner felt too long as Revali noticed how tense she was. He realised what might come of this union for most Hylians and began to think she would be worried about.
Placing his hand on her thighs he got a look from her as his other hand gripped a slice. “If you’re worried about a possible child, that prospect’s exceedingly unlikely” Revali said as the Hylian nearly choked on their next bite. Revali looked on at the pizza with slight envy before his eyes met hers once again.
The two stared at each other for a moment as she lowered the pizza slice. Revali’s breaths quickened as he finally couldn’t control himself. Her smell had finally reached him over the pizza as his hands slowly crawled up her thigh. But before Revali could do what he wanted to she set the slice down and moved closer. The tension was finally broken as Revali’s beak launched itself towards her lips in the interaction he’d only dreamed about, began. Her hands found the back of his neck and interlocked behind him.
His hands found her ass and proceeded to use what strength he had to pick her up into his arms. His instincts fully took over as he quickly made his way to his room. On the way there he let her slowly kiss down his beak, between his eyes and down to his neck and nape. In response to her sentimental kisses he softly squeezed her ass. Before the moan could leave her lips she was pressed between the soft covers and mattress of the bed and Revali’s own weight.
—(𝌡)—
And as you looked up at Revali, breathless from the sudden fall, you finally realised the full capacity of what you and him were going to do…
…And you couldn’t be more excited.

Chapter Text
Revali’s eyes stared hungrily at you, his desire no longer needing to hide and was able to be let out in full. His beak descended once again towards you but rubbed against your neck before slowly and softly pecking at it. Once he got a few groans and moans out of you, the sudden feeling of something slick and wet began lapping over the crook of your neck and nape. However as Revali’s tongue took your attention you felt him slowly remove your shirt and bra. Your own hands responded in kind by doing the same but going slightly further.
Since he’d begun his tasting of your skin his pants had gotten tight and you were going to relieve his cock of its prison. But his hands, that were fondling your breasts, slowly guided your hands away from it. “Slow, we wouldn’t want to ruin all the fun by finishing quickly now would we?” he whispered as he returned his hands to your chest before moving lower. Grasping at your pants he slowly tugged them down as you helped in moving them down to your ankles before tossing them aside. ‘No going back, you’re about to fuck a bird’ your thoughts said as you leaned into Revali’s touch.
His pants grew tighter as it kept slowly pressing into your lower body. Revali’s bear chest pressed deeply into your abdomen as his head lowered itself to your breasts. Your chest rose and fell with each heavy breath, bringing your tits mere inches from his beak. Then his tongue began lapping over your nipples and cleavage, getting every inch of flesh covered in saliva. A deep shiver slowly flowed through your entire body as Revali’s tongue felt and caressed every inch of your bare chest.
Your hands felt over the back of his head as the hand not currently fondling your ass slowly moved to undo his pants. You felt it press into your calf before Revali moved his body up. His hands pressed deeply into the mattress as you looked down and felt your breath hitch. ‘IT’S FUCKING MASSIVE!’ your thoughts screamed as you looked down at something that was the full length of your palm, fingers and then some. “Finally impressed?” Revali pulled from your gawking with that whispered remark. You lightly flicked his beak on its tip before looking away, embarrassment evident across your entire face. Revali slowly pressed his entire form onto you but annoyingly left his slowly solidifying cock just above your crotch, teasing the entrance. You internally cursed this man as you realised how truly long this night would be.
Revali let out an uncharacteristic growl as he tore your undergarments off, leaving you entirely exposed to him. Revali removed his shirt, revealing more of his navy and pale white feathers. His emerald green eyes seemed full of lust as he sat on your lap, his cock rigid and lying down between your chest. His precum, already beginning to slowly flow out of his tip and onto your cleavage. His hands then grabbed your shoulders as he slowly moved closer to your face. He’d completely caged you in now as his beak slowly got closer. Once your lips and the tip of his beak touched the two of you erupted into a lustful fervour. Your tongues battled in his mouth then into yours before you felt his body move down.
You knew where he was going and you made no attempts to stop him. But when you attempted to wrap your hands around the back of him his own grabbed your wrist and forced them down. He grew more and more dominant as you felt his cock slowly glide over your entrance. His heavy breaths slowly betrayed how much restraint he required in the moment to not ram it into you. “Breath in and…” he began a whisper before his entire body rushed forward.
The feeling was felt all through your pussy and pressing right into your cervix. The loudest moan you’d ever had in your entire life escaped your lips as you felt its sheer size fill your tightness. “So tight,” Revali said under his breath before he pulled out. The absence of the feeling felt strange before he rammed it in, somehow deeper. You strained against the feeling as your inner walls, clasped and constricted against it. You tried moving your arms unconsciously but Revali’s tight grasp prevented that. He moved out again before ramming back into you. It began to hurt as Revali fully fell into the rhythm with his hands keeping yours flush with the mattress.
Revali kept at it the feeling of his pelvis ramming into yours only continued to fuel the fire. Your moans kept getting louder and louder, almost overshadowing the sound of the blizzard outside. The warmth between the two of you became like a radiant wild fire slowly causing a layer of sweat to form over the two of you. Revali suffered the most from this as his feathers slowly became soaked but he didn’t care. His mind was solely focused on what he’d wanted to do since the moment your scent had reached him. Your soft skin moulded under his touch as you found it more and more covered in him. His embrace, his force, his smell. Sure it didn’t have the effect of being nearly as potent as yours was to him but holy hell was it strange.
The feeling was hard to describe, like an emotional connection you compared to like family. Then your thoughts wandered there and you slowly became concerned. ‘If I were even to get…no no no focus on the fact there’s a bird railing you’ you told yourself as Revali’s thrusts became slightly quicker. It was now constantly pressing deep into your cervix as it kept slowly spreading your pussy. Revali had now slowly moved your legs over his shoulders in order to get deeper. He hadn’t made a single comment yet, which ticked you off to the fact he was entirely focused on what he was doing. His previously tempered lust now fully flowed forward, as the noticeable slapping sounds that were made from each contact increased in speed and volume.
In a desperate attempt to feel more of him you managed to get one of your hands free and began to feel over his chest. Your body moved and slowly became more active as the momentum caused your tits to bounce up. Revali let out a groan as you slowly felt yourself getting closer and thus your pussy got tighter. “Please…please…p–” Revali held his hand slightly above your mouth in order to silence you. “I-I-I…oh fuck it!” Revali tried before giving in and going faster than he had before. Your moans sounded disjointed as they were cut off abruptly with each thrust of his hips into your own. Revali’s legs quivered as the minute shakes told you he was similarly close. And suddenly Revali’s head shot down to your neck, slowly and softly pecking at it in order to leave whatever marks he pleased. Revali’s other hand let go of your wrist and shot towards your hips as he began to angle you weirdly. And as you felt Revali’s hips shake and shift needily…
…And that’s when it all happened.
His hips pressed deeply into yours as his groans and moans shot out of his throat. You felt his cum burst forward from his deep and deep into your womb and out from your cervix. However thanks to his hand your hips were angled weirdly so that most of his cum couldn’t leave your entrance. Revali’s cock continued to paint the interior walls of your pussy with his sticky, white semen. His breaths grew louder with your moans continuing with each wave of cum. Revali looked down at you as your body shifted in blissful uncomfortability under his weight and the feeling of his cock continuing to cake waves of lust into your pussy.
When he finally left your pussy your legs fell to his sides as you felt the liquid run down your crotch and onto the bed. Your eyes were nearly rolled into the back of your head as you took a moment to catch your breath. Revali still hadn’t said a singular thing yet as his body fell to the side of yours. Looking down you saw he was still rigid, and even seemed harder than before. Revali’s hand feathers traced your chest as you slowly felt his grip become more forceful. “We’ll keep going until this little thing goes down” Revali finally said between his laboured breaths.
“Little?” you said as Revali once again got up and just looked at you. “So…ready to go again?” he asked as you got up, the warm feeling in your womb shifted as Revali made himself comfortable on a pile of pillows. “So you want me to—” you cut yourself off by Revali slightly splitting his legs apart. “Not content with filling my vagina are you?” you commented before slowly orienting your body so it was easier to do what was going to happen next. Your mouth filled with saliva as you remembered what the feeling of his cock in your pussy felt like. ‘Here goes’ you thought as your mouth approached his still rigid dick. It was daunting but you still took it in your mouth in ernest.
—(𝌡)—
Revali felt the hylian’s tongue wrap around his tip as his hands interlocked around her neck to prevent her from leaving easily. Sure she could still breath despite how hot the thought of her choking on his dick was. His body curved and keeled over her body in response to her taking him to his base. He’d become so sensitive since his delving into his desires just moments ago. His mind wasn’t focused on anything but you right now and nothing could ruin that.
His legs then followed the example of his hands as they criss-crossed over her back. She was locked in place as Revali slowly saw her hands moving down to her crotch. The presence of his cock in her maw muffled the sound of her moan as she started fingering herself. Revali then began using his hand to both pet her head, move her hair out of her face and lock her into the embrace.
The feeling of her tongue moving up and down his shaft and smothering it in saliva made his entire body shiver. Slowly Revali felt himself getting closer to his second orgasm of the night and he forced her head to lift up. “S-Slower” he demanded as he placed both hands on her head. Slowly forcing her back down he let go as her head began to slowly bob up and down. Slowing down didn’t help all that much and only served to delay what was going to happen. After she took a slight breather her and Revali made eye contact as they both knew what the other wanted. “N-No coming up for air until I come” was all Revali said before she gave his tip a small peck of her lips. In an instant her head dipped back down as she fully took him again.
Revali’s hips quivered as he felt his entire form spasm and saw her eyes widen. Her mouth instantly filled with the warm feeling of his second orgasm. It covered the inside of her mouth with his seed as he saw her entire body falter as she seemed to have come to. Revali’s legs relented as she rose up and sat back on her knees. Revali had finally become soft but the sight before him almost threatened to cause it to rise up again. However he simply didn’t have the energy currently and opened his arm up.
“I think the two of us have…had more than enough” he said as she slowly crawled next to him. “Well you did say we would ‘keep going until this thing goes down’ right?” she said as her face got a little closer to Revali’s. “W-Well…you fuckin—” Revali found his beak pressed together as she slowly reached down to his still slightly rigid cock. And soon he found himself relenting to her as he climbed back on top of her.
This was going to be a long night in her warmth, but Revali didn’t mind. It was all to claim her and he would ensure that would come to pass.
Chapter 4: Morning Aftercare
Summary:
Reader has been dreading this day unknowingly as thanks to Revali she’s largely forgotten what she was running from.
And if just for a moment.
She's happy in the arms of another.
Notes:
Yep this is where referenced child abuse comes into play and a little bit of the speciesism tag (its mainly in another chapter and isn't done by Reader so dw yet)
Also this is where the plot diverges a little so I'll be specifying the time frame a bit more.
Also now Reader has an official nickname, Dove or Little Dove
And not really gonna work on any other project until I get my Grimm story out which I've still yet to decide the length on yet.
Chapter Text
The bed covers felt soft against your skin and flowed over your entire naked body. You felt a deep ache in every one of your joints as you felt whatever you lie upon slowly move up and down. The feeling beneath you was different compared to the blankets that flowed over your back, it was rougher, like fur or feathers. That’s when your eyes shot open as you remembered last night. The aching in your hips finally had an origin and so did the aroma around you. A small smile extended across your face as you were admittedly torn from what the two of you had done. And then you felt it, deep in your crotch the feeling of something long still in there. Right you had gone another round with him before you woke up. ‘D-Did I fall asleep on him?’ you thought as you slightly moved up in order to look down at him.
Revali slept so snuggly with his arms wrapped around you and his slightly soft shaft still inside you. ‘Had he also fallen asleep?’ you thought as you tried getting off of him. However his hands suddenly became firm as his eyes shot open. “Trying to slip away are we?” he said as he moved his crotch slightly forward. “No just getting away to make some breakfast, especially after last night” you slyly added as Revali let out a satisfied hum before relenting his arms. Getting out of bed you slipped on one of Revali’s coats and walked out of the room. Besides the coat you were butt ass naked but now you didn’t really care, it was warm thanks to a heater.
You began on some pancakes as Revali stepped out of his room, also completely naked. Looking him up and down you saw that he was back to being fully erect to which you shook your head. “After last night I’d prefer not getting railed again” you said before you slightly shook your hips to tease him. He grabbed himself a cloak as you kept at it with the pancakes. Slowly flipping them over they were almost perfect on the other side as Revali sat behind you. You didn’t know exactly what he was looking at but you could guess with an odd feeling that came from where your ass was.
You slightly swung it side to side causing his breath to hitch as you set a few pancakes aside and gave him a plate, slyly catching his eyes on your ass. “Well I’m gonna go get some clothes on so you just enjoy some of those, alright?” you said to Revali as he began to tear into his pancakes. You grabbed your pants and shirt before realising you couldn’t remember where your jumper was. You’d made an effort to repair the slash across its back and clean it out of the blood. But now that it was missing you decided to just borrow one of Revali’s from his room.
When you walked in, the smell of faded sex reached you as you looked towards the bed. A small smile spread across your face as you remembered last night. Oh to Hylia how you wished you could’ve spent the rest of your life in that moment with him. However the prospect of another night ended as you decided to surprise Revali by getting ready…
…properly
—(𝌡)—
Revali watched the door open as the Hylian stepped out and he caught his breath. There before him stood the Hylian, her hair combed back into a short bundle behind her head. In her hair was a small spread of feathers that sat just behind her ear. A long flowing crimson scarf was bundled around a collar of thick grey fur. The rest of her brown and cream outfit looked so good and warm. She looked so adorable in that outfit, maybe even more than when she was naked.
Revali held open his hands as he offered her a spot on his lap. She moved closer to him as her body crashed into his. She slowly got comfortable as Revali handed her the plate of pancakes. “So, about last night” Revali asked as you gave a slight chuckle. “Oh, my ass ponding on your lap as you moaned a choir?” she teased as her ass grinded into his lap. “Ok, so you’re still horny huh?” Revali cautiously asked as the Hylian simply chuckled. Wait, he didn’t even know her name yet, surely he did ask but she didn’t seem to mind. “Nah just teasing, so we’re dating, engaged, what is it?” she asked as she turned around looking right at him.
“Well see Rito doesn't actually do it like that, we do have marriages it just requires one of my own to initiate and allow that, But I’d like to take this slowly, this can just be a one night stand if you want, the break in the blizzard’s here if you want to go?” he kept silent for a moment to allow the offer to stew in her head. She sat there for a moment as her hand reached down into her pocket but quickly left it as her eyes stared right into his with a passion he hadn’t seen from her before. “Revali…” she started before pausing for a bit letting Revali’s anticipation build before her voice returned and saying “I’d love to be yours”
—(𝌡)—
‘Fuck why did I say that, FUCK WHY DID I SAY THAT!?’ your mind flashed with both the good and the bad. You quickly gave him a small peck on his cheek and lied about having to go to the bathroom. The second you got in there you brought out your phone and hurriedly brought up an app. And there on the map you saw a marker…
…that was only a few miles away.
‘How the fuck has she found me already?’ you thought as you looked around you for a way out. Before knocking on the door brought you out of your despair, but quickly adding to it. “You alright little dove?” Revali’s voice innocently asked as your heart melted at that nickname. “Yeah I might just pop down to the nearby gas station in a bit” you’d come up with a good excuse for your intent. “I can just fly there it’s no issue” he said as you got up from the shut toilet seat and faked flushing something down. “No, no you’ve done more than enough for me, plus you must be drained of money after helping with my bike” you said as you opened the door and walked back out to him.
“Who said I bought any of that, you do know those Bokoblins still had parts on their bikes y’know” he shot back as he stared right at you. “Look, let me do something for you, at least once ok?” you said as Revali relented. “Ok, you come right back once you’re done alright, I don’t want you getting hurt?” he said as he walked you to the door. “I’m just going down to the station it’s fine” you responded as you stepped out into the freezing winter air. Your outfit barely made a difference as it still felt incredibly warm. “Alright I’ll be right back you want anything?” you asked as Revali laughed. “Just another night like last night would be more than enough little dove,” Revali teased as you held your emotions in check.
The second your helmet fell around your head tears started to well up as you drove off. You checked your phone as you saw that she was just three miles away. You began to speed down the road quicker and quicker, all of this made you feel terrible. You had just abandoned one of the few people who probably gave a shit about in recent years. You knew for a fact if you were to see him again he wouldn’t be forgiving you anytime soon.
Reaching the station you pulled up and grabbed as many things as possible. Food, water and any road snacks and most importantly gas. But as you looked down at your outfit some part of you wished to go back. But when you went into the store to pay for the gas you heard a car pull up. It was a larger truck as fear overcame you. Getting out of the car was a larger man and following him was a smaller woman both of whom you recognised…
…your parents.
You quickly gave the attendant a look as he gave you the keys to the bathroom on the inside. Without letting them see your face you marched into the bathroom as they walked in. Staying there for a moment you waited until there weren’t any more voices from outside. You walked back out as the truck was still there but your parents were nowhere to be seen. Taking the chance you threw the keys back to the attendant and quickly started your bike. Just as you began to drive off you heard your father’s voice screaming your name. You kept driving and didn’t even bother looking back with the truck right on your heels. However the snow was just slippery enough for their tires to spin out and crash into the barrier.
You kept driving and driving and driving all through the night until you checked the time, 3:21am. That drive to just turn around and return to Revali was tempting but you couldn’t. Hylia knows what they’d do to him if they found out you were living together. You couldn’t and unfortunately an idea popped into your head. You didn’t know if you could but the idea of leaving the country entirely was appealing slightly. But Revali you couldn’t just leave with no explanation, so after remembering the cabin’s address and praying to Hylia whoever got that unlucky task would be alright you wrote a letter and posted it.
—(Few Days)—
Revali was pissed like he never had been before. His Hylian, His Dove had run away after saying she’d be his. Revali had decided to bog down the thoughts of her with training but it kept drifting back to her. Especially now that he was getting antsy and pent up, particularly over that night. How embarrassed he felt having to clean up the rose petals and put his clothes back on. He had such a good plan for that night especially with the wine he both had saved for a celebration for years and binged that night when he realised what she’d done.
However his mind had been wondering something when a taller Hylian man showed up asking about his ‘daughter’. Some part of him decided to lie with him saying that there was a female burglar who’d been living there for a moment before he came home from a holiday. Presumably the man’s wife looked at him with pure disdain before they both drove off.
But as he sat there now his mind drifted back to her and how he felt about her. His mind had seemingly made itself up and to his unconscious and his instincts, they were mates now. And he already found himself constantly thinking about her. But particularly now as the smell that had driven him to her was faded. As he stewed in his thoughts they were interrupted by the sound of three knocks. Getting up his mind raced with emotions that were quickly dashed by the sight of a Beetle Delivery man. “R-R-Revali?” the man asked as he tried to prevent himself from moving in the blizzard. “Yes, what is it?” Revali asked as he stared at him with annoyance before he held out a small envelope. “F-F-For you” the delivery man said before saying goodbye and walking back to his van. Stepping inside Revali used a small knife to open up the letter and peered inside.
=======
Hello Revali
I fucking hope to Hylia this letter finds you. I’m so fucking sorry for leaving but I had to. By now my parents must’ve shown up to ask you things about me.
They’re the reason I left.
See they’re not good people even if they make themselves out to be that way. My aunt died when I was seven that's when their illusion fell to me as their anger was no longer restrained. I had to leave because of what they might’ve done to you before they took me back to that place. I don’t know where I’m going or if I’m going to come back to you, but thank you.
I do love you since you kept my mind off those horrible people.
Sincerely,
Your Dove
=======
Revali felt something as he read the letter. Sympathy, understanding, hatred he couldn’t quantify but at least he knew now it wasn’t him that made her leave. And the way she used his nickname for her, Dove made his heart flutter. If he could he would find her no matter what even if he had to face those people again. He kept the letter close to his chest as he slowly remembered her scent, The feeling of her body on his And. wait no he wasn’t remembering her scent it was right there. Looking down under the bed he saw an unfamiliar bundle of gray fabric. Picking it up the smell of her was clearly coming from it as he remembered his first time seeing her.
How her face filled with rage and relief at the sight and how her initial surprise of him being a Rito was now apparent fear of her parents. He held the jumper up to his neck and decided to do something new to keep himself calm without her, at least for the time being. Cutting up some parts and the undesirable parts he made a long sheet of the fabric. Slowly he wrapped it atop his blue childhood scarf and slowly breathed in through his nose. “I promise you, I’ll find you my dove, No matter what, I promise” he said as her scent rose up around him and into his lungs and nose. But he wasn’t able to stew in that promise for long as his phone suddenly began ringing. “555-1986” it was a number he didn’t recognise but when he picked it up and answered it he recognised it immediately.
“Hello Revali it’s Zelda, I know it's been decades but I was wondering if you’d like to meet up sometime?
Chapter 5: Dove Alone
Summary:
It's been weeks since Revali's Little Dove left
And she's in for a big surprise
Notes:
Shorter one, just wanted to post a chapter that's a catchup to what Dove's doing.
Next chapter's gonna be a Revali centric one and the one after that's gonna go back to Dove's perspective primarily.
Gonna post Chapter 5 of "To Protect Her" later and I'm tempted to write a Christmas oneshot with my favourite Pokèmon Gym Leader Melony
Thank you and Enjoy

Chapter Text
Lurelin City slowly came into view over the horizon. The cool sea breeze blew over you as you felt your hair whip back and forth. The few weeks of just biking had luckily gotten your mother off your tail. However your thoughts soon fell back to Revali. You were still torn over what you’d done and the thought that the letter hadn’t reached him was still prevalent. You’d made good distance away from his cabin in only a few weeks but Hylia you wanted to just go back and fall into his arms. To just feel him again, his touch and his voice but you couldn’t. But what they’d do to him, how they would hurt him just for being…well whatever he was to you at this point.
The second you found a diner you stopped and walked in and got some food. However unfortunately you’d lost your appetite for the day and forced yourself to eat the food. You knew you were hungry but just didn’t feel any appetite or even liking the food you ate. All you wanted was sleep, you wanted warmth and above all else you wanted him. Bringing up your phone you almost wanted to throw it away as you saw messages from your parents. You didn’t even read them as you deleted them and brought up your phone and searched his name.
But there was nothing, absolutely nothing about Revali, no social media, not even a fucking photo. ‘Hylia let that letter find him’ you prayed as you got up and paid for the food. Getting back on your bike you began to drive to the nearest motel as all you wanted was to sleep. Driving through the salty smell of the ocean breeze was soothing to you. Then your mind wandered to food again as you looked around and saw a fish and chips stand. You checked your bank account again and saw that you still had more than enough. You got a small amount for later but found yourself scoffing the chips and calamari down before driving off.
The motel you drove to was exceedingly sketchy and had a small casino next to it. But it didn’t matter as all you needed right now was a place to sleep and rest. “Good afternoon, how many nights?” the Twili at the front desk asked as you brought out your phone. “Three nights please” you responded as you paid an obscene amount. The second you crashed onto the bed the unfelt tiredness hit you all at once. The urge to sleep was tempting but you got up to ensure your room was actually locked and private. Slowly but surely you found your way to a sleep you’d wanted to get for so long.
=
However when you awoke you were in an unfamiliar place. The snow felt cold under your touch as it kept falling down from the sky. From the fog you saw a shadow you recognised…
…Revali.
However the second you tried to speak, to yell, to scream his name but your voice found no purchase in the air between you two. You slowly began to walk towards him, barely making any progress. The silhouette was always at a distance of barely a few metres ahead of you. The snow kept getting denser and harder to move in as you fell flat on your face. However you didn’t stop in trying to get to him, as you crawled on your hands and knees. The snow began to sear your skin before you finally stopped moving. You finally found your voice as you screamed his name out.
His silhouette finally turned as his emerald eyes pierced through the fog between the two of you. “Little Dove” his voice sounded so extremely stern it almost scared you. “How could you” he continued as you tried to speak again but found once again no control over your voice. Without saying another word Revali swiftly flapped his wings and took off into the white fog above. You silently wept as the cold slowly consumed you before you gazed ahead and saw your parent’s truck.
=
You awoke with a start as you felt sweaty and uncomfortably hot. The nightmare kept playing out in your mind ‘fuck how could you have left him?’ you thought as you felt a pit form in your stomach. However that pit kept getting deeper and deeper as your form shook. A searingly painful headache took most of your attention as your body seemed to lurch. Acting quickly you ran to the room's bathroom and flung open the lid.
You curled over and emptied your stomach of its contents which you quickly looked away from, flushing it down the motel’s toilet. You stayed around the toilet for a few more minutes as you caught your breath. A few more moments were spent on the tiled floor of the bathroom as you felt terrible. The feeling originated from the depths of your body and rose up to your throat and ears. Before quickly another wave of nausea surged forward, finally emptying the last of your stomach.
Your thoughts went to food poisoning but that wouldn’t make sense as you’d barely had any food at all. The diner food didn’t taste off and the calamari didn’t taste or smell weird. Just why were you feeling sick? And that’s when a thought entered your head, one you’d never thought of before. Your hand found your stomach but didn’t really feel anything before you finally acknowledged an ache in your chest. ‘Were your tits always this big?’ you thought as your hands slowly reached up to caress them. “Fuck am I?” you whispered in disbelief and took a few heavy breaths at the thought. Dashing it to the back of your mind you slowly got back up before another bout of nausea hit. Luckily nothing else came back up as you reached for your phone and began looking up your symptoms. And then the word that showed up was one you’d dreaded seeing and prayed wouldn’t show up.
“Pregnancy”
You stared down at the page that came up in disbelief as your mind wandered back to Revali. ‘How, this shouldn’t even be…no this has to be something else’ you thought as you got up quickly before looking at the time, 2:29 am, there was bound to be a corner store open that sold tests. Waving hello to the clearly bored Goron that’d replaced the Twili from the day you slowly walked out onto the street.
The thing about going south east towards the inner sea was that the humidity increased. You’d compensated by altering your more northern get up to something with a lot more exposed skin. You were nearly blinded by the store’s lights as you ignored their polite hello. You beelined for where you assumed the tests were and picked a few up to be safe. While at it you grabbed a water and bag of chips and paid for them both without answering any of the cashier’s questions. You then made a beeline back to the motel before looking up to the sky. The moon was a full pale white as snow, the snow of the north, the snow… ‘Fuck stop thinking about that focus woman’ you told yourself off as you returned to your determined walk.
The second you got into your room you walked into the bathroom and proceeded to use the test. You left the bathroom with the test still on the porcelain of the sink. Falling into your bed you were worried about another nightmare about the presumed father of your child, kept you up. You just kept looking up at the ceiling as dawn slowly broke through the blinds. The light stewed in your head as your head shot towards the window. The sun slowly rose across the towering buildings beyond the Motel as you slowly fell into despair. Looking at the time it was now 6:21 but it felt like barely a second had passed. Soft tears began to flow down from your eyes as it all hit you, all at once. You felt like doing nothing but curling up on the bed and just letting the world forget about you. However, deciding to get up and walk over to the bathroom, the test sat there ominously as you picked it up and…
…it was positive.
Your hand covered your mouth in pure shock as you just stared. The twin lines on the test seemed to mock you with the implication, but you wanted to be absolutely sure. Using the second of the three tests you decided to get up for the day and clear your head. You got on your bike and just started driving through Lurelin City. There wasn’t a specific destination in mind, you just needed fresh air. Your thoughts swirled around your head like the waves of the inner sea to your right. Your head was full of conflicting thoughts as a vast majority of you wanted to just run back to Revali. But would he even accept you? Would he forgive you even if you ran back to him? How would he react if he found out about the possibility of a baby? What would your—
You suddenly swerved out of the way of an oncoming car as your thoughts had caused you to drift. You stopped on the side of the road as you looked towards the sun. ‘No you can’t go back, so…’ you began to think as a thought popped into your head. Quickly grabbing your phone you searched up flights out of Hyrule but didn’t find any. Looking further, the reason was the blizzard you’d first met…‘Stop, Stop thinking about him’ you thought as you found one of the nearest available flights to leave the country. Far south in New Nabooru City was one of the cheapest flights out of the country. It would be exceedingly unlikely your parents would be able to follow you and even less so to see Revali in person.
It was essentially perfect but there was that part of you that fought the previous thoughts. But they were overpowered by a determination to get away from your parents. You had to as if they found out about even the notion about you having a child with a Rito reached them they’d. You cut yourself off as you drove back as the sunrise began to fade and the day started proper. Walking into the motel you looked at the second test and confirmed it was positive. You walked down into the lobby and cancelled your stay but refused any refund. The only international flights out of Hyrule was to Lanayru which was very out of the way. Perfect and as a small plus, you didn’t really mind seafood too much. You got to another gas station and got some basic supplies for the long drive. It would be a while of travelling but it didn’t matter to you, all you needed was just to leave.
However once again your thoughts went to Revali as you stopped in just at the post office. Tears began to well up in your eyes as you wrote a letter, but you cast the letter aside. You couldn’t tell him that, it’d just make him want to find you more. There was no going back as you revved up your bike and just started to drive.
And now all you wanted to do was just disappear.
And with this, you would get your wish.

Chapter Text
The days had felt unnervingly long without her in it. Without her warmth besides him, without her comments or teasing. These past few weeks without her were nigh unbearable. The only reason Revali hadn’t gone fully insane was the makeshift scarf made from her jacket that still carried her scent. However that wasn’t his primary concern for today as for the first time in more than a decade he would reunite with his childhood friends. He found it hard to remember what his childhood was even like and he only had faint memories of them. As his, rarely used, car slowly hummed its way down the road towards where Zelda had asked to meet. The sun had long since dipped past the horizon and night had fully taken over the sky. And even after nearly three months of reschedules and issues with flights in and out of the country it was finally happening. The restaurant that Zelda had picked out was a simple place that sold Sheikah inspired food. And Revali slowly saw the place coming into view, the sign that blinked in a slightly obnoxious neon orange read “Impa’s Emporium”. ‘Could there be a more tacky place?’ Revali thought as he slowed his car to a crawl. Despite how low end the place looked it still had a sizable parking lot that was nearly completely packed. Finally finding a place he wrapped both his scarfs around him tightly as he mentally prepared himself for this.
Stepping out of his car he looked around and found the entrance with his eyes. Outside of it stood two figures, a Goron and a Zora that some part of him recognised. Walking up he noticed his step slowly started to become shaky as he tried desperately to keep his composure. He only caught the tail end of their conversation but it was the more important part. “…Well you look good Daruk” the Zora said as Daruk returned the compliment “And you’re looking fantastic Mipha”. Mipha wore a large hoodie and a short skirt as Daruk only wore pants but had a sash of blue cloth. Revali seemed to have gone unnoticed until he cleared his throat and introduced himself. “Well, you two look amazing, and I look terrible” Revali finally asked as Mipha and Daruk turned to face him. “Revali!” Daruk yelled as in an instant he picked him up into a hug, almost breaking most of the bones in his body in the process. Revali slowly started to struggle against Daruk’s embrace as his eyes met Mipha’s. She looked at him strangely, as if some part of her knew something he didn’t. “Daruk set him down, you’re breaking his spine” Mipha said as Daruk took a while to listen. Catching his breath Revali found his support on Mipha who held him up. “Believe me, he greeted me in the same way” Mipha said as Daruk let out a laugh. “You…don’t have…hollow bones” Revali said through heavy breaths as Daruk calmed down from the apparently humorous sight. “Ahahahah you haven’t changed buddy” Daruk said as Revali glared at him annoyed. “Well…is anyone else…here or?” Revali started as Daruk and Mipha suddenly ushered him in. “Nah we got no idea if anyone else is here” Daruk said as Revali looked around at the wildly different interior.
The bland exterior had turned into stunning paper walls with dark wood accents and painted murals and amazingly well carved wooden figures. When the host appeared the three were ushered away to the table Mipha had specified as Revali’s anxiety once again climbed higher and higher. “You still have that scarf?” Daruk asked as Revali’s hand felt over the two scarfs wrapped around his neck. “Yeah well this old thing has some sentimentality to it, it was the day we…graduated right?” Revali hadn’t realised until now why he often found himself unable to let go of the thing. “Y-Yeah it…was” Daruk said as he too realised why he’d always found himself incapable of letting his sash go. “Why…never mind” Revali started as Mipha had turned around with a shocked look on her face, No one up until now could recall the meaning behind the sky blue cloth. “Let’s just enjoy dinner for now, we’ll unpack that cave later” Daruk said as the three quickly rounded the corner into a secluded part of the restaurant. Revali slowly looked over the three others he saw there and it took his mind a little while to recognise them. Zelda was already sitting down with the long hair he’d previously seen her with was cut and braided now with small blue things in her hair to keep the braids in place. The Gerudo that caught the most attention looked way older than anyone else here but still had the recognisable blue sash. The other Hylian looked unremarkable but some part of Revali was almost instantly annoyed, Revali remembered him. “Well look who’s here” The Gerudo woman said as her name flashed through her head ‘Urbosa’. “Glad you three could make it” Zelda immediately shot up and locked Revali into a deep hug. “It’s been…too long” Revali awkwardly said as it all slowly came back to him…that day.
—
It’d been a long day of preparing and getting ready for his first day was a hassle due to Revali’s desire to be perfect. His parents had quickly scooted him off and watched him intently as he walked into the school grounds. His first day of high school was uneventful. No one had come out of their way to greet him and he’d not gone out of his way to greet them. But that changed once recess came and he made a beeline to the library. He quickly grabbed a book before accidentally running beak first into a Goron. “Oh I am so sorry” Revali squawked out, before looking up dumbfounded. The Goron looked normal, no sign that a Rito had basically speed walked into him. “Oh it’s fine little bird, come on I’ll get ya up” the Goron said as his larger hand completely encompassed Revali’s. “Well can I at least get ya name before you power walk off into another one person again?” the Goron asked as Revali quickly picked up his book. “It’s Revali” was all he said before the Goron introduced himself as Daruk. “Well I must be off, see you around?” Revali asked as Daruk smiled before slapping Revali on the back, nearly causing him to fall over.
“Oop sorry, bit to strong for my own good sometimes” Daruk apologised as another person walked up, a Hylian. He just stared at Daruk as the Goron then rubbed the back of his head. Revali was still keeling over in pain as the Hylian helped him up. “Oh and uhh meet Link, he doesn’t really say much, Link this is Revali” Daruk introduced the two as Link gave a slight wave that the Rito reciprocated. “Well, as a way to make up for that wanna head to the canteen, it’s on me” Daruk offered as Revali considered the offer. “Well…if you’re being so…generous then certainly” Revali said as he got up. Flinching at a near second massive slap on the back by the Goron the trio quickly left the library. “Oh where’s Mipha, I still owe her something” Daruk asked Link before the Hylian shrugged. “Do you really do it that often?” Revali questioned Daruk as Link just nodded. “Hey, it’s a force of habit, not my fault any of you can’t take a hit” Daruk defended himself as Link suddenly waved at a crimson red Zora. “Link, Daruk and…?” Mipha started as Revali instantly went into his lengthy introduction.
“Huh, you weren’t this talkative a second ago” Daruk said, getting a slight glare from Revali. “It’s force of habit my friend” Revali countered, getting a genuine laugh from Daruk, the opposite of what he wanted or expected. “Well we best be going, I owe two of you something” Daruk said as he placed his hands across everyone. Squeezing Link and Mipha together and making Revali exceedingly nervous.

The memory had come back to him suddenly as he looked around confused as his thoughts rushed with questions ‘Fuck, was I that much of a book worm?’. Barely a millisecond had passed as Zelda moved onto hugging Daruk. ‘Why? Why in the name of Medoh am I remembering this now?’ Revali questioned as he made eye contact with everyone else there. “Look at you little bird, seems your ire hasn’t changed a bit” Urbosa said as she subtly motioned to Link. “Well not exactly my fault he would always go off to train whenever we planned to hang out” Revali commented but he knew his annoyance towards Link was more than that, if only slightly. “But if I’m good to ask, is it weird that until tonight, I couldn’t recall most of…this?” Revali asked as he and Urbosa sat down. “No, I’ve found myself in a similar situation, even if I’m older than all of you and should have better memory” Urbosa confirmed that she and many others here were in a similar boat.
“Any idea as to why?” Revali asked as Zelda finally sat down between Urbosa and Daruk. Mipha had chosen to sit next to Link as Revali remembered the very unsubtle hints Mipha always shot his way. “Nary a clue, little bird, just the sense that something in our last year there wasn’t something to remember” Urbosa said as her hand felt over the sash she’d woven in and out of her large bundle of hair above her golden ornaments. “These weren’t just for graduating, correct?” Revali cautiously asked as his mind seemed to be preventing him from remembering the last third of his final year. “It was for something we…did” Zelda cut in as she too seemed to begin to remember. However the moment the food and drinks showed up the night slowly became more and more lively. “So what’ve you been up to Link?” Daruk asked as Revali made an exasperated groan. “What else, training, military stuff nothing interesting as always” Revali teased as Link took out his phone and brought up the phone’s notes. ‘I run a small store now, got discharged’ Link showed the text to the others and let them stew over it. “Well, I knew you were boring but I didn’t expect you to get somehow even more boring” Revali teased before Mipha cut in “Oh, leave him alone Revali, what’ve you been doing, hiding up north?”. Revali scoffed at the comment as the conversation continued. Phone numbers were exchanged and home addresses were given.
After a few more rounds of drinks Daruk’s long winded story finally began to wind down “…And then the Gohma tried splitting me in half but I—” “Threw a rock at it that’s you’re go to half of the time” Urbosa cut in as her wine glass was nearly empty. Revali, Link and Mipha had largely kept themselves sober but the other three were already halfway through a bottle to themselves. “Can we calm down on the wine, I don’t want most of us to go broke if we split the bill” Mipha said as she side eyed Revali. “Hey, I’m not That poor unlike seemingly most of us I live in an actual home rather than an apartment” Revali’s little outburst got a smug smile from Link which further playfully set him off. For the first time in a few months Revali felt happy, calm as he slowly joined the others in laughing at a slightly drunk Zelda’s story about something in her line of work. In fact many of them had jobs that Revali didn’t really guess they would’ve. Link ran a small business now and lived in a town on the outskirts of Hateno City. Daruk managed a few mines on an archipelago in Eldin and seemed to enjoy it. Urbosa was running a bar in New Nabooru and was one of the few to decently remember those years in high school, considering she was a few years ahead of the others. Mipha was still the princess of the Zora that’d surprised many in the group when she revealed it to everyone. Although it was more diminished and less official it still held some importance, she was practically a celebrity. And then there was Zelda who despite her annoyance with her political father now worked as a higher up in the government.
The conversations slowly died down as Revali began a decently civil conversation with Link. “So why’d you get discharged exactly?” Revali asked as Link took a moment to type out his answer. ‘Parents, dad got sick, needed to be taken care of’ was what Link’s text said as Revali had a wave of concern wash over him. “Did he get alright by chance?” Revali asked as Link simply nodded, causing some semblance of relief to wash over Revali. ‘Good you weren’t being an ass to someone grieving’ Revali thought as he and Link just stared at each other. “So what boring thing are you selling at that store of yours?” Revali immediately fell back into being the slightest ass as Link searched up a bakery and held the search result up to Revali. “S-So…Revali, how’ve you been…doing” Zelda asked as her slightly inebriated state became more and more apparent as she continued to down more and more wine. Even Urbosa had stopped filling her glass up and even had a waiter take the still slightly full bottle of wine away. “Just up north, getting better at shooting nothing too interesting,” Revali said as his hands felt over the second scarf. “Well…”
“…why’s there blood on that scarf then?”
Zelda’s comment caused Revali to look closer at the dark grey scarf and noticed a part of the blood stain he’d forgotten to clean off. “Oh, just ran into some hooligans and guess I missed a spot when cleaning it” Revali quickly came up with a cover story but the drunken Zelda began poking holes in his logic. “You don’t have a washer?” Zelda asked as Revali slowly felt more and more hot. “N-No It was bro—” Revali stared but Zelda cut him off, “Well you could go to a…laundromat”. Zelda continued as Revali slowly got fed up. “No, there was a blizzard so—” Once again Zelda cut him off and continued to pry deeper. “OK FINE THERE WAS A GIRL!” Revali had suddenly blurted it out without even thinking. He instantly regretted that as Daruk’s laughs became so loud that some of the other patrons looked right at him. “Awwww our little Revali’s got a girl” Daruk said between laughs as Revali’s face flashed a deep warmth. “W-Well she left…but for a good reason” Revali added before Urbosa made a comment. “Maybe she got intelligent” was all she said to which Revali just glared at her. “It, Wasn’t, That” Revali said as Link rested his hand on his shoulder.
Revali’s outburst had made him realise how much he really missed his little dove. Revali then decided to storm off quickly followed by most of them and the now slightly sober Zelda. The champions just followed him as Urbosa paid the tab and followed the others out. “Revali she didn’t mean it” Mipha said as her hand reached out to turn Revali to her. Revali backed off slightly as he held his head and almost lost his mind when he realised the scent of his little dove was gone. “Look she left for her own reasons, after we…” Revali silenced himself as everyone got the idea. However before he could continue he noticed Mipha looking behind him as a voice called out. “Revali?” it was a voice he recognised, His Dove.
Spinning around Revali met their eyes and almost panicked as he realised it was her. The outfit she wore looked a little different but still had the recognisable earring that held feathers behind her ear. “Little Dove?” Revali asked as he cautiously approached her but she slowly backed up. “H-Hey Revali, Hey Mipha” Little Dove said to them as Revali turned to look at Mipha. “You two know each other?” Revali asked as Mipha took a minute to answer. “W-We met earlier at the air—that’s not really important right now” Dove said as she seemed to shiver in the cold. Revali tried to get closer to her but she continued to back off as the slightest of tears flowed down her cheek. “Dove, are you alright?” Revali asked as her hands gripped the hem of her shirt. “T-T-There’s something I…need to tell you” she said as Revali felt calm as her scent finally returned in full. She slightly tightened her shirt and Revali caught his breath as he saw the bump that appeared. “Y-You’re…?” Revali asked as they tearily nodded.
“Yes…a-a-and it’s…yours”
