Summary
Michael used to wonder if, in a less complex universe, he wouldn’t have gone so far with his pranks on his brother; wouldn’t have crushed his skull to death and would’ve just enjoyed his teenage years the way they were meant to be. No dead siblings, just his rebellious youth carried like a mantra. What was it like to still be the stylish guy who caught the whole school’s attention with just one look? How happy would he still be if nothing had happened? No murder, no death. How much better would his relationship with Jeremy be if the lives of those poor children hadn’t been taken in the blink of an eye?
Or, a better question.
Who would be willing to tell him how wrong he was to assume only those tragedies would affect his life? And that, even without them, he would be nothing less than doomed to hurt himself and others in any universe?
