Chapter Text
Steve and Eddie have been the bestest of friends since their first day of school at Hawkins Elementary. Eddie was sitting in his new desk, Mrs. Bleu moved his seat next to her desk due to his “unacceptable behavior!” All he did was stand on top of his desk and yell her name a few times after she didn’t call on him when he raised his hand. Later that day during lunch, he was sitting at the back tables all alone, when Steve came to sit next to him, “Why did you yell like a crazy person in class?” Steve was eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, it was more like peanut butter with a tiny bit of jelly. Eddie looked up from his lap and at Steve, “She wasn’t listening to me, she was calling on everyone but me.” Steve frowned, “Oh, well I can listen to you.” Eddie’s face lit up. “Really?” Steve nodded, “Wanna be friends, I'm Eddie.” Steve thought about it for a second, “um” he put his index finger to his chin. “Sure, I guess”
