21 days since Mike Wheeler took a knife and cut his wrist.
504 hours since he's been lying on a white bed surrounded by white walls, agony filling his mind."Mr. Wheeler. May I come in?"
Mike doesn't respond. He just sits idly on the clean floor, staring at the wall, wishing things were different. Wishing he was brave enough. Or coward enough to actually succeed in killing himself. It's so pathetic. The look on the faces of his family would haunt him for a lifetime.
And the look on HIS face.
The door creaks open. The psychiatrist lets herself in.
"You have a visitor." She says softly. Mike hates the pity in her voice.
"I don't want to see my sister." His voice sounds like gravel.
He's a horrible person. Nancy has been visiting him almost every day and he refused to see her every time. Their looks of pity and anger made him hate himself more. Hate himself for hurting his family.
"It's not your sister. He says he's your friend."
This makes Mike turn his head. He scrunches his eyebrows and says, "Friend?"
"Yes. Will Byers. He's come to take you home."

Will’s eyes were inevitably dragged to it, like a magnetic force he didn’t prepare for when he agreed to come there. His sight raised up again, eyes automatically looking for every single feature he memorized years ago and finding every detail right where he thought it would be.
His organs all dropped at once, leaving him with the hard choice on what to say, what to do and what to look at next. It took every single piece of him to hold him back from hugging his best friend right there and forget about everything else.
