Essentially the deleted scenes of the Goldfinch if you want to think about it that way. More on how Boris and Theo grow closer over time and their conflicted feeling for each other, but from a third point perspective (still including all of Theo's faults and biases). Then the full story of how they break apart from one another out due to apparent teen love and the appearance of Kotku, who Theo will admit is not as bad as he thought. This is also planned to be an AU where Boris and Theo do not necessarily leave one another immediately after Theo's dad dies and instead rely onone another. Living off scraps from garbage cans, jumping around motel to motel and meeting unusual people along the way. All with the promise of Boris getting them enough money to move to California, their original plan. But it will prove more difficult than originally thought and Theo will get tired of waiting for something that will never come
