He flipped through the envelopes that fell out of the binder full of his drawings, the one he found under Mike's bed, confusion increasing even more as his eyes roamed over the familiar names on each of them. To Dustin. To Lucas. To Will <3. To El. To Max.
His fingers trembled slightly, as he stared at the envelopes. He didn't even need to open them to recognize that, in fact, it was Mike's handwriting. He had seen it countless of times before. His chest tightened painfully, his eyes, now filled with pure confusion, stared at the little heart next to his name.

You can fake loving someone, but you can’t fake remembering. He heard Lucas again. Louder. Clearer. This time, he thinks, he sees Max with him with that stupid heart-shaped sunglasses and with her arm crossed. He can almost hear her say, See, Wheeler? I told you you can't fake remembering.
Mike looked at the stain in the drawing, then back at Will’s face, now flushed a gentle, appreciative pink. The slight tilt of his mouth was gone, replaced by the soft, shy smile Mike loved—the one that wasn’t for the world, but only for him.
And in that moment, in the chemical tang of old paint and the deep, safe silence of the basement, Mike didn't just understand his feelings for Will; he understood the nature of them.

Eddie Munson survives his first trip into the Upside Down but comes out a little different. A little more bloodthirsty. Literally. But that is ok with Steve. He's just glad the man is alive.
Now Eddie runs the nighttime hours of The Squawk, sharing his deep voice and rambling stories along with tormenting half of Hawkin's with his particular taste in music. ("I'm a tastemaker, Steve! Someone has to educate this poor town!")
With Eddie now officially part of the group and his new powers coming in handy for their crawls, Steve decides he should do everything he can to help him right? For the sake of the group, of course. And not because he's insanely curious about what it would feel like to have Eddie's mouth and teeth on his neck.
Steve learns that it might be a bad idea to offer your blood to a vampire when you're nursing a growing crush on said vampire, who can taste everything about you in your blood.

Lucas reached for Max's hand, so Mike grabbed onto El's. Lucas called Max beautiful, so Mike dutifully repeated it. Lucas took Max on dates to the movies, so Mike… look, it wasn't his fault that Dustin was at camp, and El couldn't go places with a lot of people, and so he ended up sitting next to Will in the dark theatre.
It wasn't a big deal. In fact, it was so totally not a big deal, that Mike made up a list of rules to keep it that way.
