Summary
What if Lucifer knew the things Castiel would do if Lucifer were put back into the cage? What if he gave Castiel an offer he really shouldn't refuse? Will Castiel resign to this fate that awaits him, or change what has not yet been?
During Season 5 Episode Abandon all hope, Castiel goes off to figure out why there were so many reapers in the town, and the gang (Sam, Dean, Cas, Ellen, and Jo) are in. The plan was to use the Colt to kill the devil, but Castiel never saw if it came to fruition. Getting trapped in a barn, not unlike the first one he introduced himself to Dean in, with the one angel he never wanted to be in proximity with, Lucifer. He knows how the story goes, claims Castiel is to ruin things far worse than even Lucifer would. What better way to show Castiel than to see it with his own eyes, after all, seeing is believing.

You're afraid of a permanent life-this inbetween state works. You're 15, emotions aren't your thing, and neither is family. But maybe, tagging along is.
Basically you get unofficially adopted by the Winchester brothers + Castiel kinda. This also is in first person despite what the summary would have you think. This is my first fic and of course it's in the supernatural fandom. Only on season 4 but it's got it's hooks in me. I also probably have daddy issues but we don't need to talk about that.
