Dear Diary,
I DID IT! I FRICKIN DID IT!
Today marks the most important event in my life: my very first girlfriend! Well, technically a person, but you get the point. For years, I’ve been longing for her, praying to God that my biggest wish would actually happen in my life. And apparently, He has fulfilled it!!!!!
I confessed to her through a letter I wrote. I didn’t have the courage to actually tell her my true feelings, so I poured everything into that piece of paper. I didn’t write my name on purpose to avoid ruining our friendship, and even changed how my writing looks. And yet she found out. She told me that she wanted to talk with me during lunchtime. We went to the old stairs near the bathrooms, and she told me that she could recognize my writing style anywhere, anytime.
“You thought you could get away without writing your name? Hah, no chance,” she stated.
“R-really? It looked very different from my usual notes,” I added
She smiled, “The only difference is in your handwriting. How you use your words, however, cannot possibly be mistaken with anyone else's.”
Her response sent shivers down my spine. I never thought about it. I never thought it would give away the impression that I wrote that. And as I was already drowning in despair, surrendering my fate to the hands of God, she responded again.
“But I’m not here to make fun of you. Well, not completely, but still it’s fun,” she paused then continued, “I am here to state that I will gladly reciprocate your feelings.”
My jaw dropped to Earth’s core. This was not the answer I expected, not in the slightest. I can’t believe my very ears and eyes that this was happening. She actually felt the same towards me!
“S-so…what are we?” I asked as blood ran towards my cheeks like a cheetah racing to catch its prey.
“Obviously more than friends now.”
That was it. That sentence sent me away. It is official. From right there and then, I have acquired my first fricking girlfriend. So does she, I’m her very first boyfriend as well. We’re obviously destined to be.
But the school is so strict about relationships. What do you mean middle schoolers are “prohibited from any non-platonic relationship”? So if I—WE—got caught, consequences might hit us like a hailstorm. Small hail, but there are a lot of them falling from the sky! Thus, we agreed not to make it public, and not even our close friends should know about it.
Still, I’m very excited. I’ve never had any relationship before, so it’ll be like when I first played Minecraft. I created a world, explored it, and survived using my own instinct. But it’s real life, things won’t be as similar as they are in games. But I’m quite confident I’ll make it through.
Oh, oh, I haven’t described her yet! She’s Amanda, my best friend since elementary. Yes, that Amanda. She is so frickin’ pretty, I’m not even lying. Her smile that formed every time I’m around, made me smile too. AND HER HAIR OH MY GOD. She has the most gorgeous hair known to humans. Hell, I don’t even think she’s human because of her beauty. Her soft eyes. Even when she’s angry or annoyed, it never stops being as soft as cotton. Christ, and her personality? Absolutely godly. She is the BEST person I’ve ever met. She always forgave those who wronged her, generous, and very kind as well. She is the perfect girl, given by God Himself for me.
