Summary
The heavy door to the council room creaks open and in comes a young man with soft brown hair dressed in simple clothes. He carried himself with humble confidence as he stepped into the room, immediately genuflecting on one knee before he so much as looked at Hyunjin.
“You may rise.” Hyunjin says. Such instructions and propriety still felt foreign on his tongue. “Kim Seungmin was it?”
“Yes, your majesty. I was told you wanted to discuss something with me.”
“That’s correct, Seungmin.” Hyunjin continues.“I’ll be direct about this.”
Here goes nothing.
“Would you like to become my concubine?”

Hyunjin is struggling to adapt to his new role as king especially so in the war council room. Lucky for him, help might come in the unlikely form of an ex soldier who just so happens to be young and pretty enough to fit into a king's harem.
