Summary:
Before Maelle leaves the canvas for good, she fulfills Verso's wish to be mortal but also makes him promise to look after Gustave. Even though he's reclutant at first, Verso quickly discovers that maybe it won't be that difficult to keep that promise. Gustave's company is not so bad and maybe he does have it in him to try to enjoy life again.

Hello! I was planning to draw only one part of this comic but then I kept adding more and more ideas to this story and I still have a lot of ideas, so I've decided to put it in one place for an easier read!
Few notes about this AU:
This is post Maelle ending so Gustave is brought back to life by Maelle. After learning the truth about the canvas and what staying means to Maelle, Gustave convinced her to leave the painting and encouraged her to try to convince her father to not destroy the canvas (because that's Maelle, his sister-daughter and she can do it!). It's the third ending we deserved.I wanted thank my beta reader Miho who always encourages me when I am crying in our DMs every time I draw a new part. Love you girl!
