Chapter Text
Suddenly, a loud thud ripped me from my thoughts. Something was coming, and I had a sinking feeling I wasn't ready. Curious as ever, I cautiously peeked around the corner. And froze.
Error?
There, lying on the ground, was Error Sans -my favorite character and my self-proclaimed child in the Undertale fandom, his body bruised and battered. Huh...What the fuck..? Despite the warning bells ringing in my nonexistent brain, reminding me that this Error might still be the dangerous, canon version who would murder me on sight if he knew a stranger had taken him in, I decided to throw caution to the wind. I wasn't about to leave him there. Yup no I'm saving Error I don't care which version he is.
As I was about to go to him and carry him bridal style when suddenly, another portal appeared out of nowhere.
What the fuck? The suddenness made me nearly shout at the top of my lungs. The other skeleton that stepped through was far too close for my comfort. "Can you not be that close, please?" I pursed my lips, trying to keep my voice steady despite my nerves.
"Mwehehe, sorry about that, friend I am the great Blue!" Blue said with a mischievous grin. "The Great Blue is looking for someone. Do you know a skeleton with black bones and blue teardrops as-"
Nope nuh-uh. Before he could finish, I cut him off sharply. "No, I haven't seen anyone like that. Also, I haven't seen you around here before." He blinked, then pointed a finger at himself and me. "Ah, well—uhm... you see, I'm your alternate version! Mwehehe!"
...please don't notice the Body in the ground.
I raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. "I know that." Blue paused. We then proceed to stare at each other awkwardly for a moment. "Mwehehehe...thank you anyways. Here's my universal AU... phone number,"
He announced proudly pulling out a small device that looked like a crossbreed between a phone and a crystal and seemingly ignoring my words that devolved us into this awkwardness. "Please call me if you ever see a skeleton like that." tossing it towards me it shifted into a paper which I guessed contained his number.
I hesitated, then decided to asked. "You really think you can find him in my world? I mean, the multiverse is huge. How do you even start?" He shrugged with a grin. "Well, that's the fun part! It's like a game of hide-and-seek! Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes... not so much. But hey! I'm persistent! And I! the Great Blue! Have some tricks up my sleeve Mwehehehe."
Alrighty then...
though I'm glad that dream and Ink didn't come with him in this world Atleast...
Dream might sense Error's emotion and that...would be no good currently.
I nodded slowly, still unsure.
"And... what happens if you find him? What then?"
"Oh, that's a good question!"
"Maybe a chat, maybe a fight, maybe a friendship? You never know with Error. His kind of complicated, you know?" Alright so maybe Error and Blue are probably fine with each other in this multiverse? But I'm still not gonna mention that Error is just at the back of the alley just to be sure.
I laughed nervously. "Yeah, complicated."
"Exactly! Anyway, if you see Error!, just give me a call alright new friend?" I smiled faintly. "Thanks, Blue. I might take you up on that. I'm Sura By the way." Please make it be that there's no Sans that is called that.
Blue Brightened and flashed a smile with a final cheerful "Mwehehe. Alright, Goodbye Sura!" he waved stepped back into his portal, which closed behind him in a flash of light. Thank Gods.
I stared at the empty space where the portal had been, then bent down to pick up Error. I wondered briefly if Blue had just ignored the sack that oddly looked like a body lying on the snowy ground, but there was no time to dwell on that now. Alright now how do I carry him through a City?
..
.
Fuck...
Sighing, I felt exhausted not just physically, but emotionally. From everything that had happened, from socializing and trying to make sure Error was comfortable in the...snow. I lifted him bridal style, careful not to touch him more than necessary, mindful of his injuries.
I can carry him- I'm so strong. But speaking of Blue...Do I even have a phone to contact him? As I carried him, I can't help but wonder.
