“Etho, I was so worried!” Bdubs starts, not even bothering to catch his breath, not sparing Iskall a glance. “You didn't- I had no news from you. And I couldn't find you at the tower!”
Etho scoffs and looks away. Iskall frowns when they are unable to make eye contact with their friend. Something is terribly wrong.
“Last time you immediately came to see me,” Bdubs continues, his tone still so full of concern. “I thought-”
“Last time you hadn't betrayed me and caused my death,” Etho snarls, and this is maybe the most emotional Iskall has seen him since his return. It's not a good development, though.
Betrayal?
Bdubs looks crestfallen and about twice as shocked as Iskall feels. “What?”
“Get out,” Etho growls. “Go back to Impulse, or Ren, or whoever you gave your loyalty to.”
“Etho-”
“Do they know how fleeting it is?”Etho dies to the trapped portal in Double Life and, upon respawning in Hermitcraft, is convinced that Bdubs betrayed him and caused his death. Where better to heal (and hide) than the gigantic cave belonging to his former roommate?
OR: Iskall becomes spectator to the telenovela that is Bdubs and Etho's relationship and decides to help.

He’d just finished wrangling a warden into the Perimeter earlier that day and, relieved that he finally had finished, he gave into his exhaustion and immediately faceplanted onto his bed and took a nap.
Now, what was the lapse in judgment, you may ask?
Well, Doc hadn’t exactly mentioned this little side project to anyone beforehand, and since he’d fallen asleep immediately after setting the warden loose in the Perimeter, nobody knew it was there except for him.

So when the Hermits collectively started praying to Xelqua and Grian started to gain a lot of Watcher magic, it put a real damper on his mood, health, self-perception and his relationships. With Mumbo gone off-world, it was now up to Scar, Pearl and Xisuma to worry about him – if Grian would let them. But Grian was nothing if not stubborn. He’d get through this alone, right?

He tries to say something, but Bdubs cuts him off before he can start, “I know you’re gonna go down this deep path like- ‘OH! Martin Stanley came up with this thing, he was a great engineer for his time he did this and this OH here’s some concept art!!!’ Two hours later, WHAT’S IT CALLED?!?”
Scar… didn’t know what to say. He doesn’t know if he should say anything, really.

Techno slammed his fists against the transparent wall of his prison, trying his best to break it down. His captors backed up, whistling anxiously to each other.
He gave the barrier another loud crack, delightedly watching as they scrambled away in abject terror.
Nodding in satisfaction, he turned around to meet the eyes of two other prisoners that had been thrown into his cell.
He froze.
Right.
There were now aliens in his cell.
And he probably just scared the hell out of them.
Or: Humans are a dangerous race feared by all on an intergalactic scale. Techno, a human ex-soldier that was abducted by aliens 18 months ago, is biding his time in captivity.
This changes when two young aliens are sent into his cell to die.

This is a story set five years since the dissolution of the Dream SMP in which Wilbur, Tubbo, Philza, Ranboo, Michael, and Technoblade find themselves glitched through a portal into a realm they do not recognize with its admin in the name of Tommyinnt. Tommyinnit, who disappeared a few months prior to the shut down of their old server. Tommyinnit, who is now older, a responsible Admin, and wants absolutely nothing to do with them.
This is a DSMP/OSMP crossover story of healing, conversation, and in the end, love.
