        i'd personally like it if there were more lesbian ships. i once saw a chart where 1 out of 100 ships was yuri, and the other 98 were yaoi. it gets boring.

          I wrote a whole comment about misogyny and female characters in media usually not being interesting due to the aforementioned misogyny, then selected cancel instead of comment. Whoops.

          I do want more femslash in the world. Unfortunately, a lot of my interests don't even pass the Bechdel test. I'm tempted to genderswap my OTPs at this point. Either that, or go up to the offices of every video game dev in existence and yell at them to write better women.

          If you're referring to the top 100 ships chart it was dominated by m/f more than anything. Stuff like dramione from harry potter and other such ships.

          If people want more f/f they really need to stop complaining and start writing. Usually the people complaining wrote zero f/f stuff.

              Please read what I wrote twice. I said "people", which is inferring that in general, the people complaining don't write a single word—sadly it's often the case.

              I did see you are writing lots of w/w and I love that, good on you. I apologise if my comment was unclear.

              Though my main point remains: if people want X, they must write X. Complaining that Y is popular won't make X any better, in fact it can make it worse.

          I took a look at your profile and most of your fandoms are roblox related or very small in general. That is going to make getting numbers and interest for your ships difficult. You are more than welcome to continue pushing for people to get interested in your things, but you may find more luck in a more FMC-centric fandom. Sailor Moon, Madoka, DunMeshi, Frieren, UmaMusume, and Genshin Impact could be good places to start if any of these appeal to you, just to name as examples.

          There's nothing wrong with participating in smaller fandoms, you like what you like, but not everyone will be there and if you want a larger audience or more people to interact, branching out may be the way to be.

            Honkai Star Rail, another game in the same universe as Genshin, has some truly wonderful w/w ships. And frankly the entire game baits the hell out of it too. (primarily because of censorship they can't go too much..) honkai inpact 3 has basically all female cast and many f/f ships.

            The fandom definitely makes a big difference in what ships are popular too.
