    The legal system is a bit different from ours. They still allow brother-sister incest, but only for families of Valyrian descent, since those would have had these customs of old. For other Westerosi families, it's allowed to marry cousins. (Which is actually allowed, with some restrictions, even in our own modern society.)

      It is a pretty solid movie, you should watch it sometime.

      Wait, wait, wait. Lyanna didn't have an affair with a client did she? Oh God. Worse, she had an affair with the heir of crime family. And didn't tell him he has a kid. Yep, that's Lyanna alright. Brave and stupid. More stupid than brave. What does Rickard and Lyarra think of Jon. Do they blame each other for their daughter's choices in life.

      Also, is Rickard a prosecutor.

        No. Lyanna was 15 when she...you know...and 16 when Jon was born. She didn't tell Rhaegar because she had no idea who the hell he was. Not a clue. Definitely stupid. But at least she faced the consequences.

        Rickard was naturally angry at first, but to my mind, he'd be both protective and supportive of his girl. So his answer was "Whatever you decide. Lya.". The mother's another story.

        By that point Lyarra would have already divorced Rickard. For what she perceived to be Lyanna's own good, her advice was to get rid of the baby. But after he was born, she learned to live with it.

        Yes, they do.

        He was. But he's not working/taking cases anymore after suffering an episode of depression.

          Wait, so basically, a 23 year old Rhaegar fcked a high schooler. Way to go Rhaegar boy, I am sure papa is proud. He is a mobster alright. Does he have other children from other women (except Aegon-Rhaenys from Elia)? Because if he is shagging up all the way down to high schoolers, I am guessing he has a pretty vast appetite.

            No. While it did happen at a party, Lyanna was clear-headed and a willing participant. However, keep in mind that no guy will actually go aroud requesting the I.D. of the girl he's about to sleep with. It's just not done.

            Not really. She and Cersei tolerated each other, but they weren't friends.

            Again, how would he know her age? Would he magically read her mind? No. And no. Is this one of those common misconceptions that if a man cheats once he must have done it a thousand times before?

            Because that line of thinking is...just wrong.

              I just assumed he knew. Well, that's better. Also, if you think asking ID is going to save you, I have more bad news: People use fake IDs, and when the cops come they charge you all the same and you get registered as a sex offender and go to jail. Yep, being lied to is a crime now. You should have had a mystic third eye!

              Not really about cheating. For a second there, I assumed he knew she was 15, and from that point onward I went as "he has no problem sleeping around with minors, he is a mobster so he isn't desperate either, so he must have just not care at all. If he doesn't care, why stop at one? He must have had hundreds of women." See, this is why "running wild with an idea" is damaging in judging people.

               

              And now I want to read about that party.

              Hey Ryuujin. I'm not sure I share your idea that getting pregnant at 15 is a 101 way to ruin your life. It complicates your life but ruin it... Cersei achieve it without a child being involve.

              The way I see it, a teenage pregnancy is complicated because of health & mental development issues, but it doesn't ruin your life.
