also please note that i don't support/endorse the forsaken devs in any way, and in fact, i have been playing the game less and less recently to avoid supporting them.

It used to be based on birth sex only, but many students were uncomfortable with that, especially if medical and/or social transitioning had already occurred. Now, staff typically ask them in the application process what gender they’re most comfortable rooming with, and put them there
