He jumped when she slammed it on his desk, right next to his spanner, Tony blinking in sleepy confusion at the object. It took him far too long to realise what it was, his heart literally stopping and water rushing into his ears. Right there, in front of him, was a pregnancy test. A positive one.
Now, many women had come to him with pregnancy scares. None of them were ever true, so why would this one be any different?
Or, in which, Tony Stark goes horrendously off-track after the events of the Civil War, and ends up with a child.

Steve's heart fell into the pit of his stomach. He was already by the door, pulling it open and making his way to the eight-year-old's room. Now, he could hear his panicked sobs, and his heart was aching as he tried to reach his room as fast as possible.

It fell silent between them for a few moments, Tony's hand having moved up to rest on Steve's, which still lay on his shoulder. Tony was shaking his head, as if he couldn't believe it, continuing to look down at his son as if he were the entire world. Peter meant, from what Steve could see, the literal world to Tony even if he had been there for only a month. It was beautiful to watch, and Steve couldn't help but wonder what would have happened to Tony if he didn't have this child.

Peter's small fingers clamped down on the hose's lever, resulting in water being sprayed directly in his face. Tony had to hold in the laugh at the look on his son's face when he dropped the hose, mouth wide open and hair sticking up in all different directions.

There were two children. Two boys by the looks of it. One was being held up by his tiny arms by a man who looked like he had seen better days, with a second man standing in front with his fists clenched. The third man was holding the second child, who was covered head to toe in blood. No, scratch that, both of the little boys were covered in blood.
