Summary
Dabi, sobering from a drug-induced high, finds himself quirkless and at the feet of the tired UA staff. Unsure of who incapacitated a high-ranking villain at their doormat, and having no will to deal with an ethical dilemma at three in the morning, the staff promotes Dabi as an unpaid janitor on house arrest, essentially fulfilling the role of a babysitter over a body of uncivilized students who Fear No God.
Dabi didn't expect the role of being an over-glorified nanny would ensure emotional turmoil of various sorts, Bakugou's inability to not cause property damage, discussions of morality and dubious legality, conspiracy theories from Shouto no less, forced roommate situations (oh my god, they were roommates), and life reevaluations.

Some of the more mortifying consequences of Dabi's bad life decisions include but aren't limited to are: being coworkers with his oblivious baby brother and Kaminari Denki, Scooby-Doo rated disguises, a haunted property, a cryptic boss named Dave, mistaken identity for a drug dealer, Kaminari's TikTok crossovers with Toga (NOT CLICKBAIT), and the constant appearance of U.A. students as customers.
Or: McDonalds is rlly a cult front, and the League, U.A. students, and Dabi who's armed with his will-to-live having an existential crisis, accidentally gets roped into it.

Bakugou, a single child with the social skills of an apathetic gamer, runs into a cellular mass of anxiety that vibrates the same murderous rage of a chihuahua. Said kid is as problematic as Bakugou himself, is a ginger, does not fear the laws of this land, and doesn't even seem to be from this land- or more accurately, time. Between Bakugou's homicidal urges, Todoroki Shouto's lack of filter, and God's middle finger, lies the Pandora's Box of the Todoroki's household secrets, in the form of a child named Touya Todoroki, who hates fish and has never heard of Minecraft.Todoroki Shouto just wants joint custody over his own older brother who's now inexplicably ten-years-old. So clearly, the only effective solution would be to force Bakugou to adopt him and all his other siblings.
Meanwhile, Dabi, still in a world that never wanted him, learns that maybe an old dog can't learn new tricks (a truth he realises, when he finds himself reunited with a nine-year-old Shigaraki, who might not be past saving, the way he will be a decade later).

Aizawa stares back, indifferent to Yamada's obvious judgement.
“And somehow, they can switch between being in a ghostly state?” Yamada continues, slowly sliding his gaze from Aizawa and to Todoroki, who’s currently mumbling to himself. He watches as the boy tosses his hands up in exasperation.
“Seems so. Actually, I don't even know if they really become ghosts. If anything, Dabi's right now essentially a Walmart Bargain Bin version of Lemillion."
“But Dabi is right here, right now, in UA, in this room?”
“Yes.”
“Is that why Todoroki is currently holding a sustainable, apparently not-one-sided argument about Guy Fieri right now?”
Aizawa pauses at that, his inability to give a shit finally faltering. “That, I actually don't know, because that could arguably be Todoroki just being himself."

Summary
Dabi agreed to being adopted by a freak called Afo, solely because the nobleman promised to cook the raw chicken he stole earlier that day.
It's the end of the day, Chicky still isn't cooked, and instead, he and two other orphans, Shigaraki and Bakugou, are told they're really adopted to carry out this totally legal plan of impersonating the late Prince Touya, a boy who was presumed dead nearly a decade ago.
The consequences of not being chosen as Prince Touya, or refusing to follow Afo's headass plan, don't need to be said aloud.
