When he was four years old, Midoriya developed his quirk. It wasn't like his mother or father's quirks, it was one solely his own.
A mutant quirk that allowed him to fuse with others. He'd been ecstatic at first, until he found out what it felt like fusing with Bakugou. It was horrible, he hated it.He realized it was a useless quirk for a hero.
eleven years later, as he and his new friend Uraraka are being relentlessly attacked by his old friend, he has to use it once more if they want to win. He expects to hate it, for it to be the worst thing.
Imagine his surprise when it's the best he's ever felt.

Midoriya was strong, he could handle being told no normally. But today, he’d been torn down so much, only for his last pillar of hope, that he might have a chance to become a hero……it was ripped out from under his feet, along with his will to cling onto life.
As he climbed over the railings, taking his childhood friends advice, he never expected the advice to actually pan out. He definitely didn’t expect to still be alive afterwards…. Though then again…. Was he? Er… she. Oh god, this was going to be confusing.

Summary
When they were nine years old, Izuku and Bakugou tried to sneak out and have a look at U.A high school.
However an accident occurred, leaving Izuku injured due to run away villains. He was brought to Recovery Girl and healed, but had to stay at the school for observation to make sure he recovered safely.
Over the course of his stay however, he starts to impress the teachers who work at the school, giving him the chance he needs; The chance to be a quirkless hero!

Angered by this, his latent quirk finally activates as he feels the rage that was needed to unlock it. His hair turns gold and spikes up as lightning strikes, as Izuku unlocks… his super state.
