“What, he’s not coming over just to see me?” Vessel says with a cheeky smile, and Two rolls his eyes again, but Vessel's smile turns small and precious, that little thing that lights up Two’s heart. “I mean, sure, I don’t mind? If he’s only coming over for a meeting.”
“Well.” Two starts, before stumbling over his words, because he did say they’d finished for the night, but. “There might be more. I just. I wanted to get a read on you first, before I asked.”

Two’s hyper aware of just how little time has passed, and even though it feels like he’s known Vessel for longer - can’t imagine not having Vessel’s texts to wake up and fall asleep to, to the sight of his eyes crinkling when he laughs, to the familiar sound of his bike pulling up outside - Two’s just. Maybe he’s worried.
And yeah, he’s not in love with Vessel, but he definitely… well. He loves Vessel. Vess has carved himself out a nice little spot in Two’s heart, smack between Mags and Mia, Three and Ivy, Gem and Jay; popped himself in there neatly, like he’s always belonged.
